The information in this book is valuable for those who work with professional and trade organizations. Whether you are a professional considering what group to join or a provider of certification testing or training services seeking clients, this source can point you in useful directions you may not otherwise consider.
The current database, which is also available online from the publisher, contains information about more than 16,000 professional associations and 400 firms that specialize in association management. The profile for each organization contains contact information, membership size, staff size, approximate annual budget, and names of key executives. Information is also available about the organization's publications, regional affiliates and management firms. Entries in the book are indexed by name, industry, geographical region, budget size, acronym, executive name and management firm. The online database--fee-based but accessible for a two-day free trial--has additional search options.
