This is the nation's official list of significant properties that figured prominently in America's history. This new index contains more than 62,000 places including the Eric Ellis Soderholtz cottage in Maine, the Luber School in Arkansas, the Whitelaw Apartment Hotel in Washington, D.C. and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. Listings are arranged by state and country and feature street addresses, criteria for listing and the listing date. A special number assigned by the National Park Service enables readers to contact the National Register for additional information.
