Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

This delightful guidebook presents a fascinating array of unique accommodations representing America's diverse heritage. This updated edition features more than 700 destinations, ranging in size from one- room guest houses to 100-room family run resorts. Each listing contains a full description of the lodging including its architecture, construction and craftsmanship, types of accommodations, meal plans offered, payment options, restrictions and any activities available. To qualify for listing, the establishment must be at least 50 years old and must retain its architectural integrity. A new section lists state tourist offices and National Trust properties. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

This review is from: The National Trust Guide to Historic Bed & Breakfasts, Inns and Small Hotels (National Trust Guide to Historic Bed and Breakfasts, Inns and Small Hotels) (Paperback)
The level of information is extremely high for all parts of the country and gives great information on the specifics of individual properties. Reviewed it at an inn in New Heaven and sent away for it immediately. I compared entries to actual experiences and found it exquisitely accurate.
