POINT REYES BIG TIME
Each year around the third week of July, Coast Me-wuk and Pomo people gather at Kule Loklo, a reconstructed village within Point Reyes National Seashore. The Native people of California refer to their gatherings as a Big Time. Lorenzo takes the viewer on a personal tour of this event with his good friend and event organizer, Lanny Pinola. Lorenzo also talks about the foods and crafts that visitors can experience at the Big Time. He also shows how obsidian is shaped into points or arrowheads. After showing how clapper sticks are made, he sings a traditional dance song.
