Disturbingly inaccurate,

This review is from: A to Z of Native American Women (Encyclopedia of Women) (Hardcover)
I was very pleased to find out about this book. There are not many books that give us a view into the many great people who are and have been American Indians. However, I know or knew some of these women. In particular, the author's statement about Anna Mae Aqush is so inaccurate, so filled with what amounts to lies, that it throws the question of the integrity and honesty of this book, of all her way to many books on Native Americans, into serious question. The author has written to many books about American Indians. So much writing and so many titles, there is no way this is a good thing for American Indians or readers interested in the truth. Tribal people are drowning a terrible tragedy of bad information...this book in particular seems admirable on the surface but in detailed analysis is filled with many false statements. Are these books self-published? Are her editors really honest and well-informed? Buyer beware, in all sincerity.
