I've used 5-HTP as a much-needed solution to my terribly poor ability to get a full night's sleep. I was able to stop taking prescription medication and have never felt better. It's good for elevating your mood and a serotonin enhancer as well.

I've become convinced that 5-HTP works and it's something I plan on sticking with for a long time to come. I did find it on amazon at such a low price it will last me forever; 50 Grams 5 HTP Griffonia Seed Extract Bulk Powder. Gotta love amazon! Hope this information helps someone else too!

I bought this product because I have been feeling quite depressed as of late and didn't want to go to a doctor for them to tell me I had bipolar or some nonsense. I didn't really do my research on it as I am an impulse buyer but man did I luck out! I've been taking these for about two weeks now and it is incredible. I physically cannot feel depressed or angry. I had no idea it would reduce anger as well, but that could just be me. I usually am annoyed and irritated fairly easily but since these I've noticed the things that usually get my blood pressure going don't effect me anymore. Also I don't know where people are getting this time release formula from. I honestly don't know the difference however nowhere on the bottle I recieved did it state time release or TR or anything.

I take two per day. One first thing in the morning and one just after lunch. 5-HTP has helped me to get to sleep faster and stay asleep better through the night. Plus my mood is definitely better throughout the day. Can't say enought good things about it. Highly recommended.

I take this because I suffer from mild to moderate depression. I have found myself to be a bit, just a bit more optimistic than I normally am. The true upside to this product is the amazing dreams that I experience every night. Sex dreams and dreams where I have super powers. I have been prescribed anti-depression drugs in the past and they didn't really do anything for me like this does. Again, only mild improvement in behavior, but the dreams kick ass.

I ordered this after reading many great reviews by others and I have to throw my two cents in!!! I am so happy with this product. It took about three weeks before I noticed a difference but ever since then I've been sleeping better, my mood has improved and I have begun to drop a few pounds. I love the small size of these tablets and the fact that they are time released protects you from stomach upset. I just ordered two more bottles!

This is wonderful stuff. I was attempting to overcome an addiction to diet pills but the sleepiness and anxiety were too much. I found this product and it is amazing! I take more than the recommended dose with no adverse affects. This is the cheapest I have found it since the first bottle I bought. I also take it with Welbutrin and my doctor was amazed at how well it worked for me.

I am a night shift worker who does not get to spend much of my free time during the day. My social life can be a struggle due to my work schedule. Keeping good morral is a challenge under these circumstances. Taking this supplement like a multivitamin has really balance the tide and keeps me very optimistic. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a mood boost. It takes about a week to notice results. Once you get to the end of the week I hope you will be as pleased as I am.

Here's one I would never have guessed. My wife spotted an advertisement regarding Natrol 5-HTP as a mood enhancer. We picked up a 150-dose bottle at our local warehouse store. She reported that they indeed enhanced her mood and suggested that I try them. I was skeptical. OK, I took them for a few days and made a remarkable discovery. My appetite was significantly reduced. In fact, I forgot to eat supper one night. Amazing! Well, it says right on the bottle that they help control appetite. Hmmmmm. And I was going on a diet to lose weight anyway. This is exactly what I need! Oh, by the way, my mood seems to be a little better too.

Note: These mood enhancers are considered to be dietary supplements rather than drugs but they may interfere with drugs or react with alcohol, so take care. I've had no adverse effects with this supplement and a wide variety of others. There are some instructions and warnings on the bottle. These work pretty good I'm only on my second week of taking them but you should be well informed before just taking any vitamin. These CAN NOT be taken with other antidepressants and should be used very carefully with migraine medicine. You SHOULD NEVER take these if you have serious gastrolintestinal problems because they will make them worse. Just do your research prior to taking them so you know the risks and side effects and what they are used for. When I started taking them they made me have GI upset but it is starting to wear off.
