I've shopped for and have used other Tonalin CLA products from various manufacturers and vendors. This one takes the cake with its serving size (1200mg) and its price compared to similar products I've used. Since I started using CLA as a supplement over a year ago, I noticed more definition in my abdominal area. This could just be a placebo effect, or attributed to my physical fitness regimen (free weights and cardio), and use of other supplements (creatine, whey protein, etc.).

There are a few reviews here, where customers are bashing this product for lack of short-term results (i.e. they aren't happy because they haven't lost significant weight after using one bottle). These customers need to keep in mind that this is a nutritional supplement, and not a FDA-approved drug, treatment, or cure all. If you read up on CLA on various websites (WebMD, Wikipedia, websites that cite peer-reviewed articles/scientific research), you'll find that there are suggested correlations between CLA usage and 1) the reduction of body fat and increase in lean body mass, and 2) the reduction and/or hindrance of the growth of tumors. Correlation does not mean causation, however, and that's why there's continuous research into CLA.

Think of CLA like any nutritional supplement: It'll help you get to where you want to be, but you have to take steps towards getting there yourself.

There is some evidence that CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), the active ingredient in Natrol Tonaliln, has a positive effect on weight, but only in preventing weight gain after loss. There isn't evidence to show it promotes weight loss.

Additionally, you need to take 3.4 grams of CLA to have a theraputic effect. You'll have to take 4 capsules a day, so this bottle of 90 will last you less than a month.

Search google for more information about conjugated linoleic acid before making this purchase.

I have been using this product with two other products that were suggested to me by a fitness/health expert. You have to understand that you just can't take the pills and expect miracles.
You have to induce your body into Homostasis (hope the spelling is correct) to really make this work for you. If you don't do this, you will have a tougher time making things happen. Homostasis is when you feed the body throughout the day, which in turn let's you body know that it doesn't have to store fat. It will not store as much fat, because it knows that it is getting food at a continual basis. Eat 4 small meals/snacks a day and a dinner that is fairly normal, normal being what you typically eat. Mind the fact that you need to keep everything in moderation. Here's what I typically eat throughout the day;
1. morning - an apple or other fruit, granola bar (nature valley is fine) and Propel water
2. mid-morning - nuts and water
3. lunch - a sandwich...I eat turkey or tuna on white (yes white bread), stay away from fried foods such as chips, etc
4. snack - I keep it simple and eat what has been listed or somethign a little different to keep it interesting.
5. dinner - I eat a steak, potatos, salad, noodles...whatever I like. But I do not eat the large portions that I used to eat. Once your stomach shrinks down to the portions that you change to, you do not notice and do not want more.
This is all about eating in moderation and cutting out some of the heavy hitters, soda, chips, candy. I do binge once on weekends because I still love a glass of coke.
I do very moderate excersize and lose about a pound a day, without much effort at all.

This product is misleading, it does not contain 1200 mg of CLA.
It's a proprietary blend oils, so we do not know how much
CLA it contains. GNC had a better version.

I have used this product off and on for some times and yes it does work if one will only stick with using it as directed. The body fat will began to slowly melt away, however, you can't go out and eat a large fry, triple burger, large shake and famous apple pie , take a dosage as direct and expect to be the size of a paris fashion model in a day. It takes time to pack it on and it takes times to kick it off but yes it does work. It was well worth the money buying it at amazon then in the local stores. I can say this after a little over 6 months of use I've went from a size 2X srubs down to a large, and a size 1x dress clothes down to a comfortable 16/18 depending on the brand name of the clothes. Very pleased with results.

This is a proprietary blend of CLA so you can't really be sure how much Tonalin CLA you're getting per capsule and how much of the other stuff (stearic acid, etc.) is in each pill.

I love this product. I had been using the lower strength, but bumped it up and see a huge difference in my thighs and belly fat. My legs have never looked better! No change in diet at all, but increase in walking (which I had done before but never had results like this from exercise alone) and I am loving my body.

CLA came pretty highly recommended by fellow dieters on a support forum,and after only 7-10days I could see some mild results. However, after the entire bottle was gone, those initial results now seem paltry in comparison to the rave reviews CLA has garnered (to the point I now question whether it was CLA as much as the change in diet & increased exercise).

This may be one of those 'works for some, not for others' type things, so all I can say is if you're REALLY wanting to try it, then the $12 price tag isn't too bad at all for the amount you get (avg out to 30day supply @ 3 caps a day).

This is a great product, when you understand what it's useful for. Anyone who expects fast weight loss, has not read the articles on CLA. I bought this product mainly for two reasons: (1) I read "The Cure for Heart Disease" (a great book, by the way) and the cardiologist who wrote it recommended CLA because it can reduce inflammation in the body, lead to a better proportion of lean body mass to fat in the body, lead to a better balance of blood fats which can affect heart and blood vessel health, and lead to - very slow however - weight loss. I do not need to lose weight but I do want to lose body fat, as I am "skinny fat" and while I exercise daily to work towards this goal, I can use a little help from this CLA product. Also with heart disease history in my family, this supplement makes sense for that reason. I have tried another brand of CLA however that other brand, really upset my stomach, even though it was 1000mg and therefore less than this product. The Natrol CLA at 1200 mg does not bother my stomach at all and I am very happy with it. I am here at amazon to buy my 2nd bottle. The price is also terrific. I would recommend strongly that anyone who is interested in CLA read articles on the web and in magazines like Oxygen, Fitness, Men's Health, etc. Also the book mentioned above is well worth a read, and contains plenty of information on CLA.

Working on my second bottle. Haven't seen any real results. The pills are too damn big for one thing but I thought by now, there would be some evidence this thing works. Don't think I'll buy this again.
