...so many things! Especially: giving "samples" of soap nuts to loved ones (I usually stuff the bag for them and tell them to use about 5 or so nuts per "use", which equals about 5 loads. This way, they can get quite a few trials of them and have some on hand while waiting for their own shipment to arrive!). The bags can also be used for carrying small items while travelling, or as a phone/equipment sleeve to prevent scratches, or, for you ladies who use a keeper or diva cup, as a replacement bag, etc. We're on our third 3-pack of bags already and have been using the same two in our washing machine for over six months!

They are very durable and stay closed in the wash (we tie the drawstring in a knot for security). They also successfully run through the dryer. We have a front loading maytag commercial quality washer and a standard gas dryer.

TIP 1: we keep a make-shift dry-erase board & marker on the wall by our washing machine to tally the washings with those IIII-slash line markings, using two lines for especially heavy or dirty loads. Once the nuts in the sack are washer-spent, we erase the markings on the board, dump the nuts into a big jug (for later boiling) and refill the sack. This is much easier than trying to remember/calculate how many uses the nuts had or have left (especially when two people use the same sack at different times).

The next two tips aren't specific to the laundry use of this product (in the washing machine), but since it's eco-laundry related, I thought I'd add them:

TIP 2: I don't use fabric softener, but I do put a few drops of essential oil in the fabric softener dispenser. I like how it makes my clothes smell and I think it helps repel mosquitoes as I haven't gotten bitten since I began doing this. I used to get bit very often, and others are getting bittem more then I am now.

TIP 3: In the dryer, I use organic wool dryer balls, with some drops of pure essential oil (usually lavender or peppermint). I put the drops on the balls and then toss them in for an Air Fluff (no heat) to dry the oil before I put my clothes in the dryer.

i love soap nuts. I no longer have that "yucky" feeling on my hands after folding the washing that makes me immediatly wash and moisturise my hands (which is ironic since I was folding clean clothes). The soap nuts leave clothes soft and residue free. The extra wash bags have been very handy for me to have because it's sometimes hard to find the soap nut wash bag in amongst the newly washed clothes in the washing machine and it therefore goes into the dryer with all of the clothes. Having extra wash bags means that I can just fill a new wash bag with soap nuts and chuck it in with the next load then use the other wash bag that went into the dryer later. Does that make sense? :) I read that soap nuts are not damaged if they go in the dryer.
A couple of tips that have helped me: 1, We have hard water so vinegar helps the soap nuts work better; 2, I sometimes forgot how many times I had used the bags so I put 3 sticky notes on my washing machine. The first has the numbers 1 - 2, the 2nd has 3 - 4, the 3rd has 5 - 6. I point the top of the soap nut wash bag to the number of times it has been used so I no longer have to try and remember.

These are just he typical bags muslin bags. I bought some soap nuts from NaturOli and just didnt realize that the nuts already came with 3 bags. I am still happy that I bought these bags because I tend to loose them in the washer sometimes and I dont find them again until I am folding my laundry. I would also recommend these bags in case you want to let someone try some soap nuts, you can just put them in a spare bag and not have to worry about getting it back. These have been useful!

Works really well in the laundry. Clothes came out nice and clean with no stains. I have purchased beauty care and soaps from NuturOli and love all their products.

I use these all of the time and they are holding up quite well.

if you are just starting off with soap nuts and you go to the laundromat you need these, they are probably good to have on hand if the bags that come with the soap nuts start to wear out...

Should have read very carefully, but the picture with the soap nuts led me to believe this was a "starter set" of 3 bags WITH soap nuts.
It's just the bags.

So small I don't know of anything to use it for. Was expecting bigger. The advertising does say: Large, Extra Duty so expected alot more. This will only hold a few ounces.
