Amazon Verified Purchase
After careful research I decided I wanted a wool-filled mattress protector, which this product seemed to be. However when I received it, the label and description confirms it is a cotton filled mattress. It has no wool or any of the great properties described of the no-cry wool filling. Natura does make the wool filled mattress pad, but unfortunately it is not the one being sold here.

I have an expensive thick water-proof mattress. I regret purchasing it since most pads come water-proof. I think it makes babies sweat if there is no padding between the mattress and the baby. So I was looking for a pad that was not water-proof to allow my baby's body to breathe. I found just very few pads that were non water-proof and most of them would have not fit the thick mattress. This one fit nicely. My baby does not sweat any more and sleeps more comfortably. I washed it, and the pad looked as if it were brand new. Did not shrink, did not change the appearance. Great product!

I love that it's organic, non-toxic, and is really well made. However, I would have liked to have had more padding. I understand that you don't want to have too much cushion under young babies, but there could still be a bit more and still be safe (in my opinion). Also, the description says that there's a wool fill but the tag on the mattress pad says the fill and cover are 100% cotton. I was a little disappointed since I was looking forward to the benefits of having wool (moisture wicking, temperature regulation, etc.). I kept it and my son sleeps well on it, but I still wish there was more insulation between him and the cold mattress during these colder fall nights. I also want to note that it had a really funny "farm" smell at first and after washing it the first time, so I washed it again before using it and the smell went away.

All natural and soft
Love the pad! It is soft, not too thick so I don't have to worry that my baby will suffocate but has just enough padding for her to sleep comfortably. It has a wool filling. Read more
