I love the smell of this shampoo, but it doesn't lather well at all. I agree with another reviewer that you may need to add some water to get a proper lather, but I just work it in while shampooing. I wash my hair every other day, and I haven't noticed any difference between this shampoo versus other brands like Pantene, Herbal Essences, Biolage, etc. My friends said JASON made their hair shinier, but I have thick, black hair that doesn't seem to have changed for the better or worse. I also use the matching conditioner. I keep JASON as part of my rotation to have a more natural option....and the scent is truly lovely!

I'll start by saying this didn't really work the best for me, but I think it's just a mis-match for my hair type. I would use it on my kids if it didn't result in a need for conditioner to avoid tangles. (Jason for kids only is perfect for them, and I use it with no issues whenever I happen to need to use their shower) It smells great, and feels luxurious when you squeeze it into your hand. I do find it a little too thick, like I probably use more than necessary just because I feel like I need more to get coverage. Overall I love Jason products, and I think this one is great for someone who needs the shine enhancing variety.

Highly Concentrated Shampoo,

Overall, I like this shampoo, although I have read of others indicating that it does not clean thoroughly. I have not had this issue, however. I like this product, in that it has no Sodium Lauryl/Lareth Sulfates. However, on the back, one ingredient that I am unsure of, is "Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate", which is why I would not give this a five-star rating. Is this ingredient just another fancy name for "Sodium Lauryl/Lareth Sulfate"? I do not know. If that is the case, then this shampoo is no more "natural" than anything else you can buy on the shelf-and for a lot cheaper. For those who purchase this, I highly recommend getting an empty, shampoo sized plastic bottle, and pouring half the shampoo into the second bottle. Then, dilute each half with water and shake the bottle up to mix, as this is an extremely thick, concentrated shampoo. That makes it difficult to get a good lather when using. I dilute the shampoo to about a watery, applesauce consistency, which makes it far easier to evenly distribute into my hair, and makes it easier to lather, as well. Not to mention it stretches the number of uses of your shampoo, and stretches your dollar, as well. Admittedly, I do not think this is one that will do anything miraculous and over-the-top, but it does leave my hair clean and manageable, and smelling nice.
