This book is my latest health "bible". It is well written and easy to read. There is alot of information about staying healthy in general and how the health of your colon and other organs (liver,kidneys, etc.) relate to maintining and, if necessary, rebuilding your health. I was suffering from numerous symptoms that doctors had not been able to help me resolve. Two months after implementing many of Louise Tenney's recommendations I am feeling better than I have in two years. The book is well organized, easy to understand and a reasonable length. Other books I have found useful in supplementing the information in this book are: Sinus Survival and Prescription for Nutritional Healing. Best of Luck!

This book has given me some valuable information. We all know fiber is good for us, but understanding how important having a healthy colon is for disease control was a real eye opener. Most of us do not get enough fiber in our diet and for me it has made me very aware of how eating whole foods is a must if we want to stay healthy into our senior years. (which is upon me now at 53) Also the author talks about how we are compromising our immune system by taking over the counter drugs for minor ailments and it suppresses symptoms but doesn't really cure the poisons that are in our body. This was huge because almost everyone I know takes something for this or that. We need to let our bodies heal on its own and the results are getting sick less often.
Loved the book and it's all common sense to me.

i bought this book because i'm always trying to learn more about the digestive system and i really love some of the herbal books i have purchased authored by louise tenney.i wouldn't call this my favorit book on colon health or louise tenney books,it's quite general and not very in depth.so if your looking for something alot more comprehensive and technical don't go here.on an up note there are some great herbal recipes.
