Product Description

Natural Choice diapers take an innovative environmental approach while incorporating super premium diaper quality. Natural Choice diapers respect your baby's skin, perform like a super premium diaper, and offer a competitive price. Like the highest quality premium brands, Natural Choice offers a stretch waist, full-stretch side panels, premium absorbency (with a bio-based absorbent) and a design-printed backsheet. But the environmental impact of Natural Choice diapers is very different from leading national brands. Approximately two-thirds of the materials used in the leading diaper brands are synthetic and are derived from non-renewable resources. The production of these materials consumes valuable petrochemical resources and in some cases creates adverse environmental impacts. Natural Choice Diapers are designed to reduce the environmental footprint created the the production and consumptiono of disposable diapers. Unlike most diapers, the absorbent padding material in Natural Choice diapers is totally Chlorine-Free. Dioxins and organochlorides are not released into the air or water. Natural Choice diapers also use less synthetic gel material in the absorbent core by blending an innovative bio-based absorbent matieral with traditional absorbent gel material. Finally, the backsheet and topsheet of Natural Choice diapers contain 50% plant-starch based Ingeo (TM) fiber, an annually renewable resource.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Natural Alternative, April 5, 2008
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
My wife and I have two children. Through our own experimentation and by talking with others, we've found that it's not necessary to buy the most expensive diaper for your child. In fact, with our daughter, White Cloud worked excellent. We had very few problems with those diapers. Our eight-month old son has a shape that works best with Huggies. I was anxious to try out these Natural Choice diapers to see how they'd work with him.

The shape of these diapers fit my son very well. They are longer and more narrow than most average diapers and have a slimmer build to them, which allows my son a lot more freedom with his little legs. The tabs aren't as forgiving as those on Huggies or some other brands, but they do fit my son well. As far as the wet stuff is concerned, Natural Choice holds up just fine. We've experienced only one leak so far and that was during the night, when his diaper isn't changed as often. The poop factor hasn't let us down at all. Although my son hasn't had any major explosions in these diapers, he has been known for some fairly large loads (if you know what I mean). It's all been held in place so far.

Of course, most people who purchase these diapers will do so with the whole environmentally friendly tag in mind. Like many other reviewers have stated, I'm always very leary of products that make the eco-friendly proclamation due to the fact that this usually equals low quality. Natural Choice is a nice exception to the rule. The quality of these diapers was much more than expected. The claims of Natural Choice are that they are made with chlorine-free pulp, and bio-based absorbent materials that "reduce use of petroleum based gels."

Whether or not these diapers have that much of an impact on the environment, I cannot deny their quality. I will buy more of these diapers in the future and recommend them to parents with little ones in the home.

I wanted this product to work. The idea of an environmentaly friendly diaper appeals to us all.

Unfortunately this diaper does not match up to the big name competitors. The diaper conscruction is adequate. They fit very nicely. I was actually very happy with how they fit on my 5 month old son's long frame. They also fasten snugly with the repositionable fasteners.

They are not quite as soft as the big brands, both inside and out.

As far as absorbancy, they are poorly lacking. For daily changes they do well, as long as you check frequently for the need to change. My problem is that my son sleeps through the night, and after a full nights sleep, his clothes and the bed sheets were totally soaked. Something that has never happened with the other brands.

I cannot recommend this product because of this. Perhaps for smaler babies, or babies that do not sleep through the night these might be ok. I don't want to have to worry about leaks, and with these diapers that will always be on your mind.

2.0 out of 5 stars Choose another brand!, September 8, 2008
We usually buy either Seventh Generation or Tushies brand but bought these when we were at a grocery store that didn't carry either brand. THESE ARE HORRIBLE. They leak all the time. There were constant blow outs.

My daughter has very sensitive skin and I thought that these would be good since they were chlorine free. But everytime she wore them they gave her a rash.

Overall, I would choose a different brand of diapers.
