This comforter is very fluffly and light-weight. Excellent product for the money. It has held up very well the last few months, and I dont agree that it feels "plastic" but rather more like a shiny cotton. It's very deep skyblue.

Well I received it, and I was pretty excited concerning its appearance and fluffiness, so I thought it would be nice and warm and perhaps last a long time.

It took about 3 weeks of use before little white fibrous threads started coming out of the fabric covering. Hoping washing would alleviate that problem, I washed it in my "super capacity" washer on the gentler setting. It filled the entire washing machine, but I have had loads just as big and did not anticipate a problem. When it finally came out of the wash, there were more fibers and now a tear in the fabric covering.

My only hope now is to salvage it by putting an adhesive patch over the tear and to cover the entire comforter with a duvet, as again, the fibers coming through the fabric cover are itchy and intolerable.

Now I see why the price was cut so drastically, but I don't see why so many people gave this thing high marks, perhaps just bad luck in that I got the lemon in the bunch.

I love the look and feel of this comforter. It is pretty durable and snuggly. It seems to have a sauna effect too because the material is not very breathable so I get a nice healthy sweat every night, good for the body. It's nice and warm. I don't know how dust mite proof it is though because my dust mite allergies have not improved at all with it. Overall I think it's a great item though.
