Needed a new quilt/comforter, and we keep the house at 58 at night--so I wanted a warm one that didn't cost the earth or a mortgage payment. THIS one was noted as being VERY warm (and allergy resistant since for allergy reasons I cannot do down). IT IS. Bravo. Though it doesn't look heavy and isn't to sleep under, had to turn the heat in the waterbed down to a lower temperature (good for the winter heating bills). Fabulous item for it's price.

I have a 92 x 88 queen duvet and ordered this fill in an oversized queen based on a previous comment addressing size. Well worth the money and a great overall deal! I am a pretty particular person, so I read many comments before selecting this one. Seem to always be disappointed with the box store options and decided to go online this time for the purchase. Not only is it "fluffy" as described by others, it does fill out the duvet, corner to corner, nicely -- which is what you want. AND the tie rings are just an extra perk for those duvets with built-in strings (you won't have to buy bulky clips and you will appreciate what that means if you have been a user of those clips). This duvet fill is probably optimal for cooler climates, but we live in a warm weather area, but I don't think we will have issues for year around use in our guest bedroom (and for anyone staying in our home, we won't have to deal with the issue of feather allergies). Hope this is helpful to someone else as other comments have been to me.

I chose this to fit a queen-size platform storage bed because I didn't want the sides to overhang below the drawers. It is VERY warm, but not too heavy. Excellant loft. Baffel boxes keep filling from shifting.

Did my homework before buying this, had some concerns about non-down but this is very very nice. You will still want an all-cotton duvet cover. Good for people who need a Siberian down type comforter but have money, allergy or pet issues. Me, I like down, but I have a rescue pup with a nervous bladder, and there is NOTHING I can do if the sirens drive by or the alarm goes off. SO....down did not launder well and I don't want to sleep with or pay for all that dry-cleaning solvent.....

I bought the queen duvet and it's a true queen size. When I draped it over the mattress, it fully covered the fitted sheet, and just managed to touch the skirt. It is one of the bigger sized queen duvets that I researched, and, as far as looks go, it is completely fine with me. I have a regular mattress. If I had a pillowtop (or a thick mattress where a standard fitted sheet pops off) or if I was concerned about having a little more fabric covering the sides and over the skirt, I might consider a king, but that would swallow the bed.

Out of the box, the duvet looked smashed, of course, but it was not wrinkled. I bought it directly from Amazon. It smoothed out just fine. As I was arranging it on the bed to make sure the size was acceptable, it did slowly puff up and looked so good just as it was in the crisp white. My dog is the deciding factor that would make me opt for a duvet cover. I did choose to use a cover to go over it. Nothing white survives in my house.

I am satisfied with the filling and it's exceptionally warm, even hot to sleep under but I did specifically choose a non-down filled one with the heavier fill rating. Once in awhile I need to kick out an arm and leg to cool down. I am a total whining wuss baby that is known to sleep in socks in the winter and I chanced getting rid of a sheet, 2 blankets and a comforter for this duvet and this thing will be just fine. I was tired to death of having to rearrange 4 blankets to make the bed that got all twisted up every morning. I started searching for a duvet when I stayed at a hotel that had only a duvet and sheet. I saw that and thought I was going to freeze to death until I tried it. I was sold!

I've been looking for an affordable down alternative comforter for a long time, and I decided to give this one a shot. It looks very nice. The seams are all finished with twill tape, and the stitching is all nicely finished.

I have asthma and extremely sensitive skin, so everything I buy gets washed before I use it. I immediately took this to the laundromat, and it washed up beautifully. No loose seams, no hanging threads, nothing. The filling all stayed where it is supposed to, and the box stitching is tight. It does take some extra time in the dryer because it contains a lot of filling, so be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get it thoroughly dry.

I used it tonight for the first time. It's not stiff, as some reviewers have mentioned, though it is a little heavy (which I like). It gets extremely cold in my room. I have been using a regular comforter, plus a big furry blanket on top, and have still been way too cold. I decided to try this on top of my old comforter. It ended up being too hot with both! I'm really shocked at how warm this thing is. I love it.

It of course does not feel like a down comforter, because it isn't one. It's heavier, and not as fluffy, so if you are looking for that very particular down feel, I think you had probably better stick with down, as polyester fiber fill just cannot duplicate that feel/weight. If you don't care about that feel and just want a high quality, warm comforter, this is a great one!
