I have asthma and extremely sensitive skin, so everything I buy gets washed before I use it. I immediately took this to the laundromat, and it washed up beautifully. No loose seams, no hanging threads, nothing. The filling all stayed where it is supposed to, and the box stitching is tight. It does take some extra time in the dryer because it contains a lot of filling, so be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get it thoroughly dry.
I used it tonight for the first time. It's not stiff, as some reviewers have mentioned, though it is a little heavy (which I like). It gets extremely cold in my room. I have been using a regular comforter, plus a big furry blanket on top, and have still been way too cold. I decided to try this on top of my old comforter. It ended up being too hot with both! I'm really shocked at how warm this thing is. I love it.
It of course does not feel like a down comforter, because it isn't one. It's heavier, and not as fluffy, so if you are looking for that very particular down feel, I think you had probably better stick with down, as polyester fiber fill just cannot duplicate that feel/weight. If you don't care about that feel and just want a high quality, warm comforter, this is a great one!
Out of the box, the duvet looked smashed, of course, but it was not wrinkled. I bought it directly from Amazon. It smoothed out just fine. As I was arranging it on the bed to make sure the size was acceptable, it did slowly puff up and looked so good just as it was in the crisp white. My dog is the deciding factor that would make me opt for a duvet cover. I did choose to use a cover to go over it. Nothing white survives in my house.
I am satisfied with the filling and it's exceptionally warm, even hot to sleep under but I did specifically choose a non-down filled one with the heavier fill rating. Once in awhile I need to kick out an arm and leg to cool down. I am a total whining wuss baby that is known to sleep in socks in the winter and I chanced getting rid of a sheet, 2 blankets and a comforter for this duvet and this thing will be just fine. I was tired to death of having to rearrange 4 blankets to make the bed that got all twisted up every morning. I started searching for a duvet when I stayed at a hotel that had only a duvet and sheet. I saw that and thought I was going to freeze to death until I tried it. I was sold!Read more ›

This has got to be one of the worst comforters I've ever owned. The picture and what I got look nothing alike. Read morePublished 3 hours ago by R. Pacific
SO WARM! Maybe going to be too warm in the summer, haha. The only negative thing was that I was expecting the comforter to be more fluffy, but it is pretty flat. Read morePublished 14 hours ago by Shelly

The picture is misleading, but as a comforter and for the price it isn't bad. The one I received was thin with small squares, probably 3" by 3" each, and the squares aren't... Read morePublished 6 days ago by Dean Pennington
This is good and warm; but if you're expecting it to be heavy like the down comforters (which is what this one replaced), you'll be disappointed. Read morePublished 11 days ago by miznic
