The dead sea salt at the awesome price I paid for it did wonders for my husband's ailing skin. He has had rashes in several different areas of skin that would come, go and get progressively worse over the last 3 years. He saw 4 dermatologists and a dermopathologist to try to get to the bottom of it. We gave up, instead of trying to find out what was causing it we focused on how to treat it and through some study found that the miracle minerals from the dead sea were not only the solution to his dermatitis ( also been called atopic, sebhorric, & contact dermatitis ) but also the answer to toned, moisturized healthy looking skin! His skin looks amazing and his problems are minimal and manageable.

This may be a nice product for the powder room but the price is prohibitive if you want to soak in conditions even remotely approximating the Dead Sea (30% salts). The active ingredient for psoriasis in Dead Sea salt is magnesium, which is 50% of the salt composition. If I read Wikipedia correctly, commercial Dead Sea salt, which is derived from the mineral rich mud surrounding the Dead Sea, has 4.5% magnesium.

You can buy a 50 lb bag of magnesium chloride, which commercially is a gentler form of rock salt for de-icing, at Amazon for $70 with shipping. During the winter months, you can get magnesium chloride from a hardware store for $25 per 50lb bag. I bath in 6-7 pounds of magnesium chloride at a time, as often as I can. With the addition of Oxipor coal tar lotion, you have an important first step in getting aggressive psoriasis under control without resorting to steroids and the rest, which I've never found to work.

By my calculations, the product advertised here delivers magnesium for $66.67 a pound. Versus magnesium chloride based rock salt which is $1.40 a pound if shipped by freight and $.66 a pound from your local hardware store during the winter months. Interestingly, the same companies provide both the fancy and the hardware store versions of magnesium chloride.

My husbands Psoriasis has dramatically improved after bathing in these dead sea salts (and using a mud soap we also got here on amazon). Just a 15-20 minute bath every other night has helped relieve symptoms that serious steroid creams could not help! It really is amazing. I like these salts too because they are relaxing and have a lot of good minerals, but I prefer the scented versions. He cant have anything with fragrance due to the psoriasis so he really prefers this unscented version. I also like the resealable bag they come in it's really convenient.

Product arrived on time and with a surprise small free sample; however, was packaged in silver storage bag (not resealable) and not in the reusable bucket with cap as illustrated. Less than perfect rating based on misleading packaging.

I purchase this item because I have severe eczema. The fragrance free dead sea salts are wonderful for taking the heat and the sting out of my body -- it also helps decrease my itching. I am very happy I found this product and will continue to purchase it as long as it is available or until my eczema subsides.

I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this product was. It comes in a metal type of bag, resealable and easy to use and store. The salt is fantastic in the bath, so relaxing!! I'd suggest you can also add your own essential oils (also sold on Amazon) to make it to your liking. The biggest bonus was that included with the salt were a handful of lotion samples, all of which I am buying. They are miracles on dry chapped skin. They also send along a 10% discount on all future purchases. Its sooo worth buying! Enjoy a great product and a great company!!

in sum of the reviews people mention a silver bag thats not re sealable, my bag was clear and it does reseal, and no gift, the salts are well worth the money.

I am over 50 years old and have very soft and wrinkle free skin. Dead sea salts has taken my skin to another level. Try it and you too can see the difference.

This is the most amazing stuff for your bath! It makes your skin feel so silky and smooth. It helps with sore muscles. It helps melt away the stress. It is great for dry skin. I can't say enough about this salt.. I would definately recommend it!!
