After falling in love with Acoustic Alchemy, I sampled their old CDs and happened to like this one very much. Immediately bought it and find it matching my taste of music. The best track has to be 'If Only'. Such a soothing and relaxing song. Actually, they're all very good. Come and join this wonderful experience!

2nd best AA release ever!,

Up until the release of "The Beautiful Game", this CD stood alone as the best of the AA catalogue. It takes the listener on a voyage of relaxation and enjoyment!. The stand-out track has to be "If Only" which has been a mainstay in my playlist for years. Great stuff!!!

A Music Lover - December 1999,

I was first introduced to this group and this album by a good friend a number of years back. The music is richly interwoven; it pulls emotions and images of fantasy and adventure right out of your soul. It lifts and invites you to fly and follow majestic, sun drenched clouds. It beckons you to rest for awhile. I highly recommend this album to anyone who dreams of riding the wild, open seas, or chasing the night wind on lonely, starry nights. Every selection is a winner.

Acoustic Jazz Extraordinaire,

I discovered the sound of AA in 1991 ( a little kind of late) but when I listened to this album I fell in-love with Smooth Jazz.Over the years I followed the change of their sound. When Nick Webb died so did the pure sound of Acoustic Alchemy.I only owned 3 CDs of them since Miles Gilderdale joined and no disrespect to him - he's a great performer but eversince he joined I started to like them less and less.I do have all their CDs during the Webb-Carmichael era and this one I consider the best!Drake's Drum is my all-time favorite AA piece together with Mr.Chow (Red Dust...), Jamaican Heartbeat (Back On The Case) and Catalina Kiss (Blue Chip). The Cds "Early Alchemy" and "Reference Point" would not disappoint you as well."Against The Grain" is not a bad album and "Positive Thinking" is just a 2-star CD.

I have only been listening to this group since July 2005, so I can't pretend that I am some sort of veteran listener, but I do know that since I first heard them, I've been hooked. Our family has a 25 minute videotape of old home videos taken by my grandfather and others from 1950-1962. I borrowed the tape and when I asked what music was playing over the video (as it was silent), Acoustic Alchemy was the reply. Casino, If Only, Drake's Drum, Ballad for Kay and Natural Elements (the video opener) now all remind me of seeing my aunts/uncles as little kids and seeing my grandparents actually look young on grainy old film, so this CD now has a personal meaning to me. Besides all that, its just simply great to listen to... Casino is by far the best track in my mind...

This will immediately make you forget every problem you are having today. Relaxing, melodic, soothing - much like the title indicates. Like a waterfall, rain, whatever - it's great. One listen to Overnight Sleeper & I loved this CD, you will too.

Definitely Nick Webb driven alchemy. They continue to produce a collection of tunes that sets them apart from other musicians. They create an atmosphere that makes you want to stop what you are doing and drink in all the sounds that slows your pulse and relaxes you, yet not put you to sleep! Acoustic Alchemy is a great group to unwind and settle down from a hard day at work. Natural Elements continues a unique mating of guitar sounds between Nick Webb and Greg Carmichael that could be described as a Pairs Skating couple. The two make music so in sync with each other yet have their moments to breathe individually, then blend back together again. Another great addition to a growing collection by Acoustic Alchemy!

My boss at Wherehouse music introduced me to this album, and was my first experience with New Age music. My favorite song is the uptempo Overnight Sleeper on this album. The rest of the album is what I call great Sunday relax music. The album is short but plenty to enjoy. I think you will enjoy the duel acoustic guitars. Its a treat. Enjoy and Stay 2nd :-)
