I ordered these along with a salt order from Das Foods. The flavors were very complex and mixed well. I ordered this along with the candied ginger and pistacho, although that flavor was nice also, I did enjoy this one more. Packaging simple and appealing. Service was excellent, Ms. Das inculded a coupon for 10 percent off any future purchases that was signed by her also, along with samples of a couple other caramel flavors, a nice touch indeed. Shipping speed was impressive also. Great service and product. I also recommend most of their gourmet salt products too, please do give them a try if you enjoy such a thing.

I received these for Valentine's Day--these are sweet little gems of chocolate and nut. I typically don't like nuts in my chocolate--but with these caramels I have made an exception!
There are many layers of flavors--I am a fan of European chocolate--and these were just as satisfying. I loved them so much I have ordered boxes for my sister and mother.

These are simply the best caramels: incredibly complex and delicious flavors with the added texture of walnuts.
The Das Foods people included some free samples of their other caramels with my shipment. Even the packaging is appealing. An all around A-plus experience.

Short- move on. These aren't worth eating. Long- First off, the pictures are very misleading. If you look at the example of the packaged product, you will see walnuts and salt in what looks like chocolate. What you actually get is what I would describe as a caramel (in the true cooking definition, not taste)that is thinner and almost has a burnt caramel taste but certainly not a good flavor and not even a hint of walnuts. If I think about it, I can taste what seems like a chocolate liqueur type taste but to call it "Walnut and Chocolate" flavor is really a stretch. I actually contacted the company thinking I got the wrong product and they agreed that the pictures are misleading and actually removed one. They said that the walnuts are powdered and then mixed in with chocolate and sugars and other ingredients listed in the description and cooked and then the salt is added while the caramels are still warm so it melts into the top. I'll take their word for it because I certainly can't taste it. The result is a sugar texture caramel (not like a caramel square you melt for apples) with an unpleasant taste. Even my children don't like them. My husband ate them but that doesn't say much and even with the low price he said he wouldn't buy them. On the positive, they seem like a very good company with good quality, natural ingredients. I just don't like what they make with those ingredients. I also tried the pecan and chili caramel mentioned by another reviewer and the texture was very similar to this though the chili heat was a bonus.

I got the Chocolate and Walnut caramels along with the Chili and Pecan caramels (my favorite). I can have 1 or 2 and I feel satisfied. They are very good, creamy and obviously made with quality ingredients. They would make great gifts (I kept them for myself though).

I ordered these based on the very positive reviews I read here. I was expecting a caramel, covered in chocolate, with a bit of salt (I love Fran's salt caramels). These are not like that. Very little distinct chocolate, nuts or caramel.

I didn't enjoy them. I took them to the office and I don't think anyone there liked them either - they sat for weeks untouched.
