I was lucky enough to see Natural Gas live when they toured as opening act for Gary Wright, Santana and Peter Frampton in the summer of '76.
I was a huge Badfinger fan and was crushed when Pete Ham died and Badfinger fell apart.
The LP was a Badfinger-ish offering that helped soothe the loss of that great but underrated band.
They were a powerful, rockin' band in their live performance!

Molland has always been the rocker of the Badfinger group and his contributions show on this LP. It was a shame that Natural Gas was a short-lived band, but Molland did reunite with Tom Evans and Mike Gibbens for a coupel of more badfinegr LPs, for which we fans were very thankful.
This is a decent LP, and a must for Badfinger or Joey Molland fans.

As a long-time Badfinger fan, I am happy to finally have this music on CD. This is Joey Molland's first post-Badfinger effort. Recorded Feb 1976 & originally released May 1976. The songs are OK at best, but Badfinger collectors will certainly enjoy. The sound is great on the original album tracks. The bonus tracks sound like bad bootleg copies. The LP cover reproduction is horrible, maybe the worst copy job possible. The text/printing is virtually unreadable. The cover graphics look like one huge smudge.

To anyone that loves a Great band, This is the record, Great Guitar playing (Joey Molland, Badfinger) The Fantastic bass playing and singing of Mark Clarke! (Billy Squire,Mountain, Monkees, Colosium, and many more) Jerry Shirliy on Drums, (Humble Pie) and Peter Wood Keyboards. This alone should make you want to buy this record.
Tracks like Little Darlin, I've been waiting, The right Time, Miracle Mile (This is the one!) St. louis Blues just rocks, and more. Natural Gas is simply a great record and Rock band. You need this record if you love music!

For anyone who really cares about Natural Gas (or Badfinger), as I do, please note that a new version of this album will shortly be released to the world on CD and for download with perfect sound and artwork which it so rightly deserves. I have to disagree with Mr. Powell's review. This is a magnificent record that far too many people have yet to experience. Hopefully that will all change very soon. if you are a badfinger collector, buy this, the music is very good, molland is the composer and singer of all the songs, and joey molland allways do excelent good songs

To the reviewer that said this was better than any Badfinger---There ain't no comparison to this and Badfinger! No song depth, no melodies, nothing of any redeeming value! Hope this helps!
