Gliders are an expensive purchase for baby’s room and this affordable model offers relative comfort and function for a fraction of the cost of those offered by top-of-the-line manufacturers. The glider and ottoman are crafted from blonde hardwood that is fashioned into a runged, curved back on the glider chair. The top of the ottoman and glider back, seat, and arms are all covered with padded cushioning. The non-descript beige polyester fabric blends into any décor and is versatile enough to move the chair into a master bedroom or family room once it is no longer needed in the nursery. The cushions on this chair make it very comfortable for its price range--especially when you consider that the alternative to rocking a baby while seated is pacing around and doing deep knee bends in the wee hours of the night. While this glider only has one position (upright), its rocking motion is still sufficient for lulling baby to sleep and it glides silently with no disruptive squeaks. I am very happy with this glider. I have had it for nearly one year and haven't had any problems with it. I use it for about an hour each day. It is very cosy. I fit in it well now, but when I was nine months pregnant and 30 pounds heavier, I was just able to squeeze between the arms. Once in the chair, it does not take much to glide back and forth. You can push off of the floor or with your feet on the ottoman. Either way is very comfortable. The fabric on the cushions isn't the softest, but I have a plush blanket thrown over the back to add to the nursery decor. When my son was young, he fit easily in my arms and I used the chair arms for support while holding him. Now that he's older, he nestles comfortably in my lap for relaxing gliding. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

This glider has been great for us. We didn't want to spend a lot, but wanted comfort. It's not luxury, but it's held up really well. We have 14 month old twins and have spent A LOT of time rocking in this chair! :) If the seat isn't soft enough, you could always put a seat cushion down but we haven't needed to. I do wish it could recline just a little or not sit so upright, because my neck hurts sometimes after falling asleep while rocking! :)

Cheaper isn't always better. This glider was fine until it broke in less than a year. I weigh 140lbs and use it 20 minutes a day, it should be able to last longer than 11 months!!!!
