It seemed so easy.
Gerald W. Greupner
The principles are simple to understand and while they don't take the place of a pro, they set a good foundation to build on.

This is the real deal. I found this book by accident a few years ago after I had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I keyed on one of Knudson's major themes, balance, since I have problems with my balance as a result of MS. I now hit the ball further and more consistently, with less effort, than I did in the previous twenty years trying every other method, including Hogan's "Five Lessons" (I was as low as a 4 handicap thanks to a good short game but was inconsistent tee to green). Knudson's method is easier on the back and promotes an aesthetic-looking golf swing. This is a must have for any golfer who is serious about the golf swing.

Having read "Golf My Way" (Jack Nicklaus), and "Power Golf" (Ben Hogan), it is clear that the best players ever, in close inspection, share the same fundamentals as described in this book. The difference with The Natural Golf Swing, is that Knudson is able to explain the swing in terms of cause and effect, such that he expresses a very logical theory. As he establishes, once you are setup in balance, and maintaing that balance throughout the swing, then you can't help but have a good, natural swing. The key, though, is following his drills in order to establish your setup so that you can swing free through the ball, towards the target. Once this is established, according to Knudson, the swing will be an uninhibited, free motion, governed by the laws of centrifugal force. A must read.

Simplifies and demystifies the golf swing by breaking it down into its fundamentals, what he calls voluntary and involuntary actions. The voluntary actions, e.g. the setup, alignment, etc. give you the proper foundation to let the golf club flow along its natural and perfect swing path, without any manipulation on your part.

Applying George Knudson's theories, combined with a healthy dose of faith and trust, anyone can maximize the potential and achieve a truly "Natural Golf Swing".

I can personally attest that this book can turn frustration into pure joy: the unparalleled joy of making an effortless golf swing and striking a golf ball purely. Highly recommended.

I've read many golf books searching for my swing. Mr. Knudsen's book has helped me find it. It was there all along! As a single digit player and an avid reader who loves technique, I was stunned with simplicity of this book. Now I understand the swing and I would recommend this book to anyone trying to find theirs. It's almost a book on how to live your life and play golf. It has taken the Bagger Vance mumbo jumbo and distilled it so that anyone can understand it. Ben Hogan said that Mr. Knudsen had the best swing of his generation and I believe it. It is to bad that he is not here with us to receive the accolades he richly deserves. While other teachers are locked into complex techniques and trying to make you do things that are next to impossible, this books lets you be the swinger of the golf club the way you were meant to. It has a certain beauty about it that you will not find elsewhere in golf writing. Well, that's about the best review I can gives. I'm off to the range now....happy golfing everone.

Actually, I think this should be required reading for all golfers. Over the years, my mind had overflowed with a multitude of swing thoughts on positioning of the hands, wrists, arms, elbows, ad nauseum. But the late Mr. Knudson discovered and revealed that the golf swing doesn't have to be so complicated and in fact shouldn't be. He says that weight shift and body rotation are what should drive the golf swing with the arms and hands remaining passive. The result is a less complicated and more reliable golf swing. He stated that he shot a score of 67 on 18 holes with this method with his eyes closed for all full swings. It may take a while and a lot of practice before the average golfer could perform such a feat, but I've taken Mr. Knudson's tips to the driving range and have seen promising results. Buy the book and work with it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. By the way, I totally agree with the previous reviewer who recommended this book and also recommended Jim Dent's "How to Be Long and Strong" video. The Jim Dent video essentially presents the same principles as Mr. Knudson's book and I have benefited from it as well.

Talk about a life-changing golf experience. I was always a 88-95 player. Then I came across this system by accident and bought the book. I went to the range and it felt incredible. Sure, I struggled a bit at first, but in two months I shot 73, 77, 71 in consecutive rounds (and only because of missed putts)! I am convinced that everybody will be swinging a golf club like this in ten years. Absolutely no back strain, you feel like you can crush the ball on every shot and you have great repeatable motion. With his back problems, if Fred Couples switches to this swing, he'll dominate the Senior Tour for a long time (if he can beat me). Seriously, you must by this book and you must try their principles. You won't believe it!
