Cozee is a lovely vendor to work with, fast accurate, and actually took the time to answer a question about the cedar prayer bracelet. Plan to use this seller many more times. HY ARE 5 STAR A+. Sincerely, Marguerite

3.0 out of 5 stars Meditation beads.
They are nice, they do have the inscriptions as well. They do fit a bit tight on larger wrists like mine. I feel like the elastic band is kind of cheap though and the knot holding them together is rather simple. It's nice and serves its purpose, but I can see this breaking rather easily in the future.

A Mala is a string of rosary beads used in the Buddhist tradition to count sutra recitations, or merely as a physical reminder to practice constant mindfulness. Full Mslas have 108 beads, with or without tassels or engravings depending on the tradition represented. Smaller Malas have beads numbered by some divisor of 108.

Wrist Malas are popular as an adornment. They can be made of woods such as cedar or semiprecious or precious stones made globular. They can either be strung on a leather thong or on an elastic band which slips comfortably and snugly over the hand and lower arm.

A simple wrist Mala such as this is an unobtrusive symbol for the dedicated practitioner to use in the course of daily living.

for the 24 beads on the bracelet I received, which isn't a multiple of 108 and neither is the sum of the beads pictured, 25. :)
