3.0 out of 5 stars Good Reference, but not necessarily the best planning guide
Some good advice, but don't take this to be the "bible" on nutrition. Clearly intended as more of a reference book for quick checks on different topics, the book ends up feeling like the "fad" of the page. This page yoga, this page the circadian diet, etc. I give it major points for encouraging a healthy approach to eating and providing a lot of good...

Some good advice, but don't take this to be the "bible" on nutrition. Clearly intended as more of a reference book for quick checks on different topics, the book ends up feeling like the "fad" of the page. This page yoga, this page the circadian diet, etc. I give it major points for encouraging a healthy approach to eating and providing a lot of good overall information about the choices out there. So if you are really looking for an introductory reference source on health and nutrition information this book is long on lots of information--some of it conflicting with the previous page. That really points to the problem with the book: because there is not really a strong core message, you are left to yourself to navigate the conflicts between the different ideas presented in the book.
