Best feature -- the inclusion of Avobenzone, one of the few ingredients that provides good UVA protection. Good UVA protection is rare in a lip-protectant and that alone warrants my recommendation. The only potential drawback to this product is its menthol tingle -- some users might find this ingredient irritating. It works well alone or with lipstick. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a problem with menthol.

Lanolin is a waxy substance that it squeezed out of freshly-harvested wool. Many people, including me, are allergic to it. Mentholatum's Natural Ice Sport lip protectant is the only such product I have found that does not contain lanolin.

If you use a lot of "chap stick" and have trouble with your face breaking out around your mouth, try this product. It may help.

Besides that, it is just my favorite lip balm. It's medicated, so it protects and heals. I've been using Mentholatum products for decades. It's often hard to find, but worth the search. The store where I used to buy it quit carrying it. I was so very happy to find it here at my favorite online store. Thanks Amazon!

I really like this lip balm. It kept my lips moist without a sticky feeling. I also like the fresh taste that's due to the mint. The 30 SPF is a great plus -- and not only in the summer. I'll recommend this lip balm to my family and friends.

I really loved using Natural Ice Sport. It came just in time to take care of my wind-burned lips. It goes on so smooth. Not like other brands that actually hurt when you apply them. And I love the medicated feel when you put it on. It really does remind you when you need to put more on. The sunscreen is an added bonus! I'd surely recommend this product.

IN A NUTSHELL: Dimethicone, Octinoxate, Octisalate & Petrolatum ARE NOT NATURAL INGREDIENTS!

This is a product made primarily out of petroleum jelly, very much like chap-stick. As a brass player I have been familiar with chap-stick products and vasoline for over 40 years. While 'Natural Ice' may work like chap-stick, truly natural and organic products made primarily from Beeswax rather than petroleum jelly are readily available from companies such as 'Oralabs Inc.' for around the same price.

My experience using this product has been a kind of yo-yo affect, where it seems as though if we don't apply this product to our lips they get much drier than they otherwise would have. This prompted me to search for a truly natural and healthier alternative which is how we came to use the 'Natural Beeswax - Lip Balm' from 'Oralabs inc.'. As a brass player it is very critical that my lip moisture be maintained and that cracks and other symptoms of dry lips or weather exposure be minimized and healed when needed -- and without delay.

My two sisters & I take turns ordering boxes of the Natural Ice lip products and share. We have been hooked on the Cherry one, until my sister ordered the Sport version in error. Now, this is by far my most favorite!

I purchased this for the Mt Everest Base Camp trek (EBC Trek) for the wife a few months ago. The review from her was excellent.The main thing that she liked was that after a few minutes of application, you didnt get the waxy feel on your lips. The fragrance stayed around and wasnt aggressive for prolonged use. The lips didnt chaff a bit and the UV part prevented them from blackening the lips- she didnt want to go around applying sunscreen on the lips (who would anyway)at that altitude... She strongly recommends this.
BTW, it stores rather well, and the last one opened this January- didnt have the slightest hint of going bad as many other lip balms do after 3-4 months of storage.

My lips are soft because of this amazing lip balm! I found this stuff probably over 5 years ago when nothing else worked to keep my lips from not going chapped. I went on a buying spree of all the lip balms on the market at the time and this was one of the ones in my purchases and the only one I really liked that worked incredibly well. I was really bummed when they stopped carrying the "sport" type in retail stores. Lucky for me, amazon carries it!

What really sold me on it is that it isn't sticky feeling. The "sport" kind with the spf 30 is thinner feeling than the regular. It goes on really smooth and thin and doesn't feel sticky or waxy. It's not a heavy lip balm at all but it WORKS! The cooling effect feels nice on my lips. I often buy this 12pk and gift them away in the winter months! But I really use it year round with summer sun protection.

One of my nieces had really chapped lips, so bad I remembered that it was red and irritated and flaky around her lips too. She tried a lot of different lip balms but nothing really worked so I gave her a tube of this stuff and within a few days of continuous use, her lips healed up and she says this is the best stuff ever! Every time one of my nieces come over, if they see a tube of this stuff laying around, they will use it and sometimes swipe it! Now I make sure I stock up so I don't ever go without. There's a tube of it in two of the purses I rotate on the regular plus a tube with my makeup case, one on my night stand and one on my desk...there may be a tube in my winter coat too!

If you want really soft kissable lips, give this lip balm a try. I really LOVE this stuff, I just ordered another 12pk! :D

This lip balm is awesome. I've been loyal to Chapstick before but this was definitely more affordable and thought I'd give it a shot. What can I say, I'm very impressed! It is medicated which is my preferred type of lip balm, I love how it feels. It's not too glossy/shiny for us guys and keeps the lips healthy and moist, no more dry and cracked lips.
