when I found myself alluding to Thoreau's writings (as remembered from a long-ago college class) I wanted to learn more. This book is a thoughtful anthology edited by individuals who clearly have a deep affection and understanding of Thoreau. It would be a useful survey tool, for someone wanting to write a longer paper or lead a team's discussion. It's put together in a way that makes it easily accessible for today's busy life. Well worth it!
