Written by eminent psychiatrists from the Massachusetts General Hospital and other leading institutions, this book is a reliable, practical guide to the use of herbs, vitamins, and other natural substances in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. Chapters discuss the natural remedies used for the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, sleep disorders, premenstrual syndrome, menopausal symptoms, dementia, and sexual dysfunction. This review is from: Natural Medications for Psychiatric Disorders: Considering the Alternatives (Paperback)
I was extremely pleased with the quality of research that went into this book. It is easy to read, user friendly, has great tables in the appendix. It is on the cutting edge of psychiatry as more patients turn to natural medications for healing. I see it as a valuable resource in my practice for those select patients who desire this type of treatment.
