4.0 out of 5 stars Quite Informative And Useful Book July 26, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Please pay no attention to the previous reviewer, who obviously did not read the book, and in fact admitted that they hadn't read it. (By the way, I have been stung by bees and mosquitoes inside my truck while driving)

I found this book very interesting, as the author explained the nature of the mosquito, how the mosquito breeds, why it bites, and how to prevent bites. There are many remedies with DIY recipes inside to make yourself, and I have actually used one before and it did make a difference. The author was thorough in her information and it was obvious that she did her research before writing this book. I gave the book 4 stars, instead of 5, because I am a stickler for punctuation, and during the course of reading this book came upon many sentences lacking proper punctuation.

4.0 out of 5 stars try actually reading it... September 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I must ask- how can anyone review a book if they've never read it?? For myself- I have read the book. Not every solution will apply universally. I very much appreciate the material, the presentation, the format. Remember the corollary to Murphy's Law: "Mother Nature sides with the hidden flaw." And- "Mother Nature is a Biotch." Some bugs are smarter than humans. Not every chemical mix will kill every bug. And for $.99 say a big thank you to Ms. Maxwell for doing the grunt work and putting together this easy to read and easy to use information.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay - too much with the essential oils June 14, 2014

Not worth spending the money on. General information available on the internet for free. Prefer natural products, not chemically produced products (i.e. - the essential oils).

5.0 out of 5 stars practical, tested info May 30, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I like very much that the author has personally tried these recipes against the nastiest of mosquitos, the Asian Tiger Mosquito. The recipes are clear and simple. Only minor grammatical and typographical errors do not detract from the overall message.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Ideas February 8, 2014
By Bonnie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Don't know if they will work, but as I am one that Mosquitos LOVE, I am willing to try many of these! I especially like that so Many of these items are already in My Kitchen and Garden! They Also seem more logical to Carry INTO the Woods with You than a Bunch of Smelly Deet Based Repellents! Thanks for the Great Info!

lots of good information with ways to make your own repellents. There were to many grammar errors that should've been caught. Most were repetitive words.
