Bob Marley's songs have been collected for "greatest hits" on 2 CDs: "Legend" and "Natural Mystic". While "Legend" contains more of the better known songs, I venture to say that "Natural Mystic" is the stronger compilation. The flaws on "Legend" are many, primarily a remixing of several songs that really tank that album, in my opinion.

No such funny business on "Natural Mystic". From the opener title track, the album showcases Marley at his reggae best. Among the many highlights are a biting "Crazy Baldheads", one of Marley's best tracks ever (Marley was never shy to give social commentary in his songs, so well demonstrated here) "So Much Trouble In the World", "Africa Unite", "Sun is Shining" and "Roots, Rock, Reggae" (with the self-effacing lyrics "We're bubbling on the top 100, just like a mighty dread", haha!) To top things off, there is a rebel-rousing live version of "Trenchtown Rock", if that doesn't wanna make you get up and dance, nothing will!

In all, 55 min, of Bob Marley's best songs. No, they may not be the best known songs found on "Legend", but this collection demonstrates Marley's genius better than "Legend". Buy it!

The songs seem to be more of his anthems and political type songs, great nonetheless.

This is one of my fav's. Actually I found a best of Bob Marley CD at a drug store a few weeks ago; of course I had to buy it. A lot of the tracks on Natural Mystic was on in, however, they were the original recordings. The quality is horrible but they are amazing. If you ever find a copy I highly recommend getting it.

I am very displeased with this purchase due to the fact that the wrong disc was sent in the right package.

This album is one of the best album ever produce by the Tuff Gong Label.Brother Bob sounds just make you want to keep listening.When I put my Cd in I did not want to take it out.It is a great mixture of songs...

LOOK really screwed up here Ihad this cd of bob marley and it was the best album he ever made his songs were so happy they filled me with inlightment joy and love it was veary relaxing music i just felt so good inside when i herd this album bob marley doesent just sing but he sings with true feeling and he sings from the heart his songs on this cd have true meaning to them they were even better than the songs from his cd legend but as i was saying i made a big mistake i played this cd out a little bit and there was a new cd that came out that i really wanted but i dident want to buy it so i thought of trading one of my cds so because i played this 1 so much i knda got sick of it so i traded it in for the cd i wanted but i'm so upset now this cd was the best even better than the 1 i bought in place of it that cd i'm so sick of now i even hate the kinda music it was i just want you all to know i know now that this cd is a tresure and i was wrong for giving it up it took me a wile to see that but i relize now i wish i had it ima go buy it again now please understand what i'm saying this really is a great cd i mean bob marley was the best regge singer out there and this was his best cd theres just so many great songs on here like lion zion pimpers paridise roots rock regge crazy baldheads drop war every song on here was a true hit like i said i would love to still have it today. Bob Marley i'm sorry i got rid of this if only you were hear today so i can tell you how special you are R.I.P
