Very Disappointed, October 23, 2003
This review is from: The Natural Piano Method (Spiral-bound)
I was very disappointed with this book. I've been working through it for over 6 months so I gave it a fair shot. There are several problems but the biggest issue is that I would not recommend it for anyone over age 12. I am college educated and over age 30. I struggled - not with musical ability - but with the stupidity of the material. For example, I have trouble forcing myself to practice "Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." The book is definitely directed towards children. Another problem is that there is a definite religious focus to the material. For example, be prepared to learn "Jesus Loves Me" and "Amazing Grace." This focus further narrows the audience to people who are Christian and children. And even with that, I think the book is overpriced. For me this book was a big waste of money and I'll be happy to sell mine.
