5.0 out of 5 stars Pregnant? This books essential reading, a little gem
Reading this book made a huge difference to my pregnancy. It really helped me cope with all of the minor aches, pains and ailments that my doctor just brushed off as being part of pregnancy. I found the yoga and natural therapies particulalry invaluable. This book was a real eye opener. I didn't realise that these resources were available. I aslo read Janet Balaskas's...

3.0 out of 5 stars disappointing - New Active Birth is much better
I was quite disapointed with this book. I already have "the New Active Birth" and found it much more informative. (I highly recommend that one!)

I aslo read Janet Balaskas's other books, 'New Active Birth' and ' The Encylopedia of Pregnancy and Birth'. The wisdom and practical information contained on these pages is a gift to women the world over.

There is a lot of repetition between the two - I was hoping for more detail on things like aromatherapy in pregnancy, but most of the information was very high level and didn't include much detail.

I'd recommend getting "The New Active Birth", and Janet's "Yoga for Pregnancy" CD and booklet set is also very good, but I don't think this one provides enough extra information to be worth bothering with, personally.
