5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and fits the hand well
This particular stick has a slightly larger diameter than the average escrima stick I'm used to. It helps with control and gives a firmer grip to the stick. Still lightweight, it is easy to maneuver and doesn't splinter easily. I'll be buying more in the future.

These are NOT made of rattan. They are oak or something hard and heavy, which is good for swinging around by yourself, but if you're sparring you need them to actually be made of rattan, that way you don't break the other person's stick. If you are going to spar, or hit sticks together in any way, look somewhere else.

I got the stick. It is some sort of rattan but it is of unacceptably poor quality. The stick doesn't even have one node on it. Spend a little more money and get a deluxe rattan stick from century martial arts.

They are good for practice. They are not hardened, so they take a bit of abuse if you practice with others that have hardened sticks.
