This isn't a joke, but it is useful advice.

I bought this oil because I have a parrot with a feather plucking problem. I've been adding about half a teaspoonful daily to her soft food for about 3 months and the results are terrific. She's almost back to full feather and has not plucked a single pinfeather since we began adding it.

This is a logical solution. Palm nuts are a part of most parrot's natural diet. It only makes sense that red palm oil contains nutrients that are otherwise missing in a caged bird's diet.

Your mileage may vary since feather plucking is a complex mystery, but in my case it's been a miracle cure for our cantankerous eclectus.

I own a Molucuun Cockatoo and she was picking at her feathers. I found out through a parrot forum that Red Palm Oil was good for this. They referred me to this seller. It's been two weeks and I already see the difference. Her plumage is getting rich and full and I couldn't be happier with this Red Palm Oil. I also put some in my oatmeal as it is high in antioxidants. Shipping was fast and communication was perfect. I highly recommend this seller and product.

this is the second bottle that I have ordered and will continue to order from this company. I use the red palm oil for my birds by mixing it with cous cous and veggies for their daily fresh food offering. Great product and very healthy for the birds. Great product at a great price!

Some African Grey owners claim that adding Red Palm Oil to their bird's diet aids in their bird's health and stops them from plucking their feathers. I bought this product for all of those reasons. My bird raves over dinner now and I noticed that her feathers are "shinier" and her red tail is brighter than it used to be. Unfortunately is has not helped her with her plucking problem. But since the red palm is a daily food in the African Grey's natural habitat I will continue to add it to her dinners.

i used a tablespoon of Red Palm Oil and a tablespoon of unrefined Coconut oil to 2/3 cup organic popcorn in a west bend popcorn maker. this tasted like the old time traditional popcorn and excellent for you too. everyone raved over the taste and texture of the popcorn. highly recommend this brand or the Tropical Traditions brand.

We use red palm oil as a supplement for our parrots, and Wilderness Family Naturals has always supplied us with a consistent, high-quality product. I wouldn't give my birds anything else!

One of the parrots I adopted a year ago is in her early 20s and has shown some reservations about being introduced to new foods. She was kept on an all-seed diet, so getting her healthier has been one of my primary focuses. I got her a UVB lamp, have put her on Vitamin E to help improve her plumage, and then learned about red palm oil form a parrot forum. I was worried that she wouldn't like it, but she LOVES it! Even if she's been picky about a certain food, if I add the red palm oil in it, she gobbles it up. I've also started to give a little to my dog (also adopted, also was on a poor diet, and is just as picky) in her food. She's taken to it as well! Success!

This is the second type of red palm oil I've purchased, and it's really a great value. The only thing detriment is that it's messy to try and dispense from the original container, so I have to put it in a smaller, wider-mouth container and use a spoon or syringe to prevent from making a mess.

I love that this came securely bubble wrapped and that it comes from a family-owned company. I will be buying this again in the future.
