The knob was smaller and did not look as good as the one in the picture.
Ask for a picture of the cane they are selling.Walking Cane - Irish Blackthorn. This men's natural Irish blackthorn walking stick has a knob handle with polished natural bark. The stick cane is 36 inches long and has a rubber tip.

After ankle surgery,I am finally able to walk with a cane. I preferred the look of the walking stick to a standard cane, so I ordered it, and am perfectly satisfied! The walking stick suits my needs, is attractive in appearance, and draws many comments. The description listed with the product in Amazon was accurate, and provided the information I needed.

Nice, sturdy stick. Good aid for hiking in rugged terrain. Comfortable strap. Not advertised, but can be adjusted to your size. Good for warding off dogs too.

Unfortunately, like many products from Cold Steel, this started out a great idea but fell far short on the overall design.

It is way too big and way too heavy to be "usable" for any real life purpose by the vast majority of people.

In a nutshell, UNWIELDY AND FAR BIGGER THAN IT REMOTELY NEEDS TO BE. I cannot overstress it enough: This is a BIG, BIG, BIG "CANE..."

The knob handle is virtually impossible to grip easily - mine was somewhere between the size of a baseball and a softball. (BIG!) On top of which, the shaft itself is equally over sized and it could probably have easily been reduced by 25 percent in diameter without sacrificing its ability to actually support the user's full weight.

Worse still, it looks RIDICULOUS and it makes the user *stand out* like a sore thumb as it looks more like a WAR CLUB from Braveheart or The Flintstones than it does an actual cane. Carrying it in public will attract all sorts of stares and unwanted attention - general public to cops and criminals alike. "Hey! What's with the CLUB, fella? Who ya gonna bash???

PASS ON THIS ONE! IT'S BAAAAD.
