Great Sampler of New Age and International Music, March 3, 2011

This may be New Age, but this CD is anything but sleepy. Plenty of great ethic flavors and international sounds. Many of the tunes are light and up-beat, and some are mysterious and romantic. This sampler has turned me on to many other artists I would never have heard anywhere else. I always smile when I hear some of the tracks, namely "Montezuma," by Cusco, used as bumper music for the radio show Coast to Coast AM. Montezuma is my favorite track: haunting flute notes calling out over tribal drumbeats.
