Like it or not, Dave Ralph seems to have developed a definite and identifiable style of sequencing and mixing progressive house and trance tunes. As some reviewers have commented, there is no real build-up, no climax, no frenzy. Love it or leave it, that's Ralph's style; a bit laid-back and languorous in its pacing and overall feel (though this was not so much the case in his "Love Parade" mix). This is actually ok with me, as variety is indeed the spice of life and I find that his selection of tracks is for the most part, first-rate. Contributing to the apparent lack of real "punch" in parts of the mix is the fact that the volume level for the sound reproduction here is noticeably low; I have had to turn the volume dial on my cd player up near full-blast to really bring out the music and its full impact.

I recommend this mix for those who enjoy a progressive sound that is shaded more toward trance than house.
I would add that since this is a 2 cd set just chock full of relatively unplayed tunes (and a few fresh remixes), it's a bargain and certainly worth picking up for fans of Digweed, Sasha, Seaman, Graham and the like.

Extract maximium enjoyment by this amazing work by Dave Ralph when listening on dark quiet cold nights. This is an underground work and something that will stand the test of time as more people see this album for what it really is. THIS ALBUM TAKES TOP HONORS OUT OF MY ENTIRE RECORD COLLECTION! FOR ARTWORK AND ORIGIONALITY AND CONCEPT.

Altough...I am Digweeds and Deep Dish fan...i really enjoy this one from Dave Ralph..I don't think it is flawless, flowing and groovy like my favorites..still its much better than most of it out there
