CAREFUL. This product is called RECOMBINANT Human Growth Hormone, which means is can be anything. It is probably harmless, but extremely effective for those who want to THINK that it does something to them. It probably has NO EFFECT on ANYTHING in your body. I tried it for 3 months, and experienced aboslutely nothing except a bad taste in my mouth.

Only a little reasearch showed me that this is NOT a hormone. You CAN get real Human Growth Hormone, but it is avaliable only by prescription; it can be taken only by injection; it would cost you a minimum of $2,500 a month; and if you STOP TAKING IT, you'll get sick. (By the way, the REAL stuff apparently WORKS!! But this isn't it.)

I wish I had been smart, and done more research before I ordered this. This product not only doesn't do what it advertises, but it may be DANGEROUS. After chewing one of these tablets on an empty stomach, I developed severe jaw discomfort and clenching. I don't know what is in this stuff, but it's not human growth hormone. I did some research tonight through the FDA and found out that all of these products are scams. Do you know why these are advertised as "chewable tablets," and the instructions say to chew them, and not eat or drink anything for 20 minutes? Because they're exploiting a loophole in FDA law that says anything taken orally (i.e. swallowed) needs to be FDA-approved in order to be classified as a drug. By not telling you to swallow this product, they'll claim that it dissolves in the mouth and therefore is exempt from FDA guidelines. That means they can sell you whatever they like, with probably no ramifications. (Similar products are being marketed as "sprays.") Under no circumstances should you buy this product...don't get suckered like I did. If you eventually see positive reviews of this product, rest assured that they're coming from someone working for the pathetic, scamming "Biomed Comm." I am going to attempt to get my money back, but I guess I'm not optimistic. Please learn from my mistake...and if you want to be healthier, just eat well and exercise often.

Did anyone notice the word "homeopathic" in the above? It contains 100% of nothing at all. Doesn't work. It's a scam product designed to slim your wallet not your waistline.

Go the website for Biomed Comm, the manufacturer, to see about the product and the studies conducted by the inventor, who is a serious scientist who previously worked at the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC. It says it is recombinant, never that it is real human growth hormone. I have had good results in terms of having more energy and vitality. That's what counts for me.

All I know is that when I'm taking the product I have much more energy during the day without any jitters (like an effedrine product would for example). The most surprising effect was a very noticible increase in memory and cognitive skills. It has helped me to drop weight slowly and increase my lean muscle. Hats off to those who caution on products like this, but they really should either research this particular product or state personal use testimonials before knocking it. It works well for me, does not effect my blood pressure or my liver function, and does not adversely impact my sleep patterns. I like it!

I like this product and found it to be the most reasonably priced on Amazon. Costco on line offers the same item at almost the same price. I look at this item as health insurance.

Some of these reviews are critical of Homeopathy in general, not the Biomedcomm product. For those who wonder about the effectiveness of Homeopathy, take a look at the February 2005 Alternative Medicine magazine. According to the feature article - "Minimalist Medicine" - Homeopathy has been practiced for 200 years. This is an informative article that covers the history as well as some of the best practices.

Regarding the Biomedcomm products, I have been taking the hGH for over five years. I have found it to be the best of the available products out there. There are noticeable physical results; I've experienced better muscle tone and increased lean body mass. I do sleep better when taking this product and interestingly enough feel an enhanced sense of equanimity on a daily basis.

I have also found the Biomedcomm customer service to be very knowledgeable. Plus a number of their products have been involved in extensive clinical trials that do substantiate their effectiveness.

OK, here are some explanations:

"Recombinant" means that it was produced by genetically engineering another cell (often a bacterium) to produce something it normally wouldn't. This doesn't mean it's bad for you, but you should know. It's probably safer than extracting human proteins from other humans, at least.

"Homeopathic" means that the active ingredient has been diluted to such a level where it is undetectable - the assertion is that the water you dilute it with "remembers" the shape of the active molecules and somehow produces the same effect. Scientifically unproven, dubious and usually scoffed at.

hGH is a scientifically proven therapy for some conditions, but only in pharmacological doses, by injection, and prescribed by a doctor. Any claims that homeopathic "doses" of hGH can give the same effect are unproven and probably unprovable, which is why the FDA doesn't approve their use in medicine.

If you want to feel fitter, lose weight and have more energy, EAT A PROPER DIET AND DO SOME EXERCISE! This means fresh fruit and vegetables, sensible portions without too much fat, and 20 minutes of aerobic training a few times a week, not just walking to the counter in McDonald's and then getting Diet Coke with your Big Mac.

Buying medicines on Amazon would be pretty silly (not to mention illegal), which is why they don't sell them. Buying 90 pills of sugar is just stupid.

The science behind this "product" is so bogus, it's laughable. Human Growth Hormone is produced by all of us anyway (except an extremely small minority who must be medically treated). Too little leads to dwarfism and too much to the medical condition "giantism". Symptoms of the latter are similar to ADHD and must also be medically treated! Why mess with your own internal balance? This stuff is not certified by the FDA and I wouldn't take it unless it were prescribed.
