This is macrobiotic cooking that has a mainstream taste. I have been pleased with the recipes, infact, even my 9 year old loves them. They are easy to follow and delicious.

An essential healthy cookbook, March 1, 2005
This review is from: The Naturally Healthy Gourmet: Secrets of Quick, Tasty, and Wholesome Cooking (Paperback)
Although I've got a ton of cookbooks, this is one of the 5 I use over and over again. Great desserts (quick crusts using granola, apple juice and oil), lemon pies using pineapple juice and lemon juice and kuzu, and an outstanding collection of sauces for salads and vegetables that only require a handful of specialty items, such as tofu or miso, to make. For anyone who wants to cut down on refined grains and sugars and still get lots of compliments from the family and company.
