Naturally Naughty,
By A Customer
This review is from: Naturally Naughty: Bare Essentials (Harlequin Blaze, No 62) (Paperback)
I've read all of Leslie Kelly's books and this is one of her best. The hero is sooo good I fell in love with him right away. And finally a heroine who knows what she wants sexually as well as professionaly. The tension between the two is instantaneous and HOT! A really humorous read, I especially loved the "cheese cake" scene. Lot's of steamy love scenes to read over, and over, and over... I can't say enough good things about this story!!!

wonderful contemporary romance,
This review is from: Naturally Naughty: Bare Essentials (Harlequin Blaze, No 62) (Paperback)
Successful Chicago business owner, Kate Jones returns to Pleasantville, Ohio to sell her mother's house. Kate's hates the place perhaps as much or more than her cousin Cassie (see NAUGHTY BUT NICE) loathes their hometown. Kate learns that her mother had an affair with the now deceased Mayor Winfield, who kept her mom hidden from his constituents since he was married and she was white trash. Kate vows vengeance targeting the son John, Jr. as fair game.Jack Winfield comes home to clean up the mess his father left behind when he died. Jack sees Kate, knows he wants her, acts out of character by following her and when they meet he cannot resist a kiss that she also thoroughly enjoys. However, when she learns her Jack is John, Jr. she rejects him as if he carried the plague though their sparks could provide the Christmas lighting for the Windy City. Jack needs to overcome her rejection as he loves her and is encouraged by the belief that Kate loves him too. Leslie Kelly spins a wonderful contemporary romance that sort of reads like a second chance at love albeit the first time for the next generation. The story line engages the audience from the moment a reluctant Kate comes home and never loses the reader until the final time Jack kisses his kissable Kate. Fans of a torrid tale with terrific characters will want to read the noteworthy NATURALLY NAUGHTY. Harriet Klausner

Jilted on her prom night, Kate Jones trudges home bearing the scandal of her name and the pain of rejection. When she arrives home she realizes her mother is having an affair with the town's mayor, thereby completing her night's disillusionment. So she and cousin Cassie make a list of their goals that will turn the town of Pleasantville, Ohio on its ear. Ten years later they make their dreams come true with Bare Essentials, a store that caters to a woman's most intimate needs. In addition, Kate gains the opportunity to seduce and destroy the son of the mayor.Jack Winfield, son of the mayor, cannot wait to return to Chicago. His mother's tears and his sister's theatrics in the wake of his father's death only reinforce his need for escape. As he wanders the streets of Pleasantville, however, Jack catches a glimpse of Kate, and determinedly refuses to let an opportunity pass; together they find unexpected attraction and opportunity. Fortunately, they both now live in Chicago and connect there. Unfortunately, neither he nor Kate initially recognizes their unlikely family connection in Pleasantville. But circumstances will throw them back together proving that they are both naturally naughty. Being bad has never been so much fun as in Leslie Kelly's NATURALLY NAUGHTY. A risqué romp on the wild side, NATURALLY NAUGHTY's wonderful, wicked playfulness satisfies! On one hand, Kate's believes she can never risk trust and vulnerability to fall in love, believing vibrators to be a whole lot safer! On the other hand, Sexy, confident Jack is just the kind of hero romance readers expect, with his appeal to the senses. And he loves the naughtiness Kate conceals beneath her cool demeanor. Their time together in the abandoned theater will make reader's toes curl! Indeed, once again Leslie Kelly proves her deft gift for penning romantic tales brimming with scorching sensuality. Very highly recommended.

'Naturally Naughty' by Leslie Kelly is a scorching contemporary romance. The main character an adult store co-owner returns to her hometown with a revenge list. Her first day back she has sexual interlude in the old theater with a stranger. The stranger is her mother's lover's son the same man on her revenge list. Read it just for the underwear scene at the mayor's party! I am off to find her next book of the series.

I really enjoy reading Leslie Kelly and have to sat this is one of my favorites so far. I enjoyed the story line, and thoroughly appreciated the characters. Since I'm a sucker for love stories this is right up my alley. Not to mention the sexual encounters are both sensual and erotic.

He was written sooo delectable! The whole "your sidewalk or mine" was totally hot. I don't recommend the companion-Cassie is much better as a secondary character. The sex was awesome. Kate is smart and sensible and Jack is also intelligent and driven. Armand is hilarious. Again, there was a believable plot and the characters had depth. The only problem I had with it was the location of Kate's shop. I've shopped up and down the Magnificent Mile before and I have a hard time seeing that type of store with all the others. But then I remember this is a romance novel and it fits perfectly;)

When I started reading this book, I felt like I had already read it before. Finally I looked it up and realized the other book (Naughty but nice) was about Kate's cousin Cassie....the story seemed so familiar, because I had already read Naughty but Nice, that I just could not get into it. The plot was good, but I felt like the characters lacked depth and emotion. This was one of the first books I've read in a long time (and I read about 2 a week) that I was glad when I finished it.
What really made me sad about not liking this book is because I've read several of Leslie Kelly's books and they have all been pretty good. |
