NICE SAND TABLE,

I just bought this sandtable today for my 4yr old son. It went together pretty easy, you do have to push really hard on the legs to get them to lock, I did use a rubber mallet to help me lock in place. The umbrella is nice and I like the idea that it also becomes the lid with 3 straps to hold in place. I cant say how water proof the umbrella is yet since I just got it. Since my son is 4 I thought it could be a little taller and it says it holds 200lbs of sand, well I bought 4 bags of sand and 2 bags practically filled it, so I will use the 2 bags as backup! We all know the sand doesnt stay in the box for long! Overall I like it and I like the fact that the kids can stand up and play instead of being in the sandbox itself. Oh the little shovel attachment is easy to use also. It needs to be removed when you put the cover on but comes off easily and a piece of the umbrella needs to be removed also, but can store in the sandbox when being covered.

This table went together in no time (more time was spent opening and dumping the 4 50-pound bags of play sand). My daughter got this for her birthday and loves it. The only improvement I would suggest is to have a drain hole in the center leg or a cap to cover the opening for the umbrella. We had the umbrella out for less than an hour and the center leg was COMPLETELY filled with sand so we had to move the table (and what was left of the 200lbs of sand)to let the leg empty and put the umbrella back in. Otherwise a great table!

Great sand table but VERY short!,

This is our 2nd Naturally Playful sand table. The previous one lasted for more than 2 years and was well used. I decided it was time for a new one when the other one wobbled on it's legs too much to be comfortable with. Not great support for a sand and water table. This one is constructed much better with 5 legs and a center support. The table is huge and is quite a bit deeper allowing for more kinds of playing and more area for kids to play. My only complaint is that it is 12 inches shorter! I can't find any mention of that in the literature or other reviews but it's a huge hassle. My 2 year old towers over it and my 4 year old has to sit down to use it. I wish they had longer legs I could substitute for the short ones! Otherwise it's a great table and think we'll get another few years out of this one!

My 4-year old got this toy for his birthday and he absolutely loves it. The umbrella is a great option and the cover is WATERPROOF!!! We recently had alot of rain and not one drop of water got in. My son can spend hours playing with the sand table.

I bought this for my 3 yr olds birthday and she loves it. It does sit close to the ground but that doesn't seem to be a problem. My 5 yr old pulls up a chair. With six sides, there is plenty of room for several kids to play and an easy way to declare boundaries. The bucket works great and the kids love it. It is easy to put in and remove. I love that this is off the ground and that it came with the umbrella. After receiving over 7 inches of rain in the past 2 days and a tornado touching down less than a mile from here, the sand is still perfectly dry. We only put in a 100 lbs of sand. The table is only about half full but this way the kids aren't continually dumping/spilling sand all over the ground.

My 3-year-old daughter received this from her aunt for Christmas. It has been an amazing sand table. She has a BLAST playing with the crane and there is tons of room for us to make castles and shapes in the sand. The table is plenty big enough for two kids to play without even running in to each other. And four or more kids could easily share it.
We've had some terrible storms the past few weeks. And the sand table has held its own. The umbrella hasn't blown off or even lifted (else it would have blown off for sure). And the sand isn't flooded; it's barely even moist (after days of torrential rains). But I am very impressed it's held up to the wind! There were even tornados all around last night!! About the ONLY thing that might make this better is if it more than one crane! It's really just a great table. (FYI, We put about 150 lbs of sand in it and that seems about perfect).

This is a great table for the kiddos to play in. However, we bought this table at the beginning of the summer and half way through the summer the umbrella has faded horribly. I called for a replacement umbrella and it runs around $20. If you don't mind spending that money regularly, then buy the sand table. Otherwise, you will have an eyesore in your yard.

We just set this up for my 2 and 3 year old, and they love it. It's easy to assemble (although getting the legs in requires some strength) and quite sturdy. Large sand play area means no fighting over play space. Provides much more sand play than the smaller sand tables and the usual sand/water tables on the market. Even though it holds 200 lbs. of sand, we felt that 100 lbs. was just right. Legs are a bit short, but didn't pose a problem. We haven't had rain or high winds yet, so it hasn't been put to the weather test. But the umbrella provides a tight cover, so I would imagine it would keep the elements out. All in all, a solid, durable product.

This is a really nice sandbox. The kids can stand at the side instead of hunching over or getting sand in their pants. The crane is a nice feature. Very handy if you live in a woodsy area or an area where animals may use the sandbox (ie: cats) because the top keeps all mannner of sticks and acorns out. The top has faded significantly over the winter and I would suggest if you live in a cold climate perhaps covering the entire thing with a tarp to prevent the deterioration of the umbrella. Umbrella is not super useful as sun shade as it does not tilt. Overall, more fun, less mess = really good sandbox.

All of my children have enjoyed this sand table. It was easy to assemble and it is easy to cover up when the fun is done. I like the fact that they are not covered in sand like our old sit in sandbox.
