Nature Babycare Diapers are 100-percent chlorine-free and keep oil-based plastics away from babies delicate skin. Our absorbent pulp is from sustainably harvested Scandinavian forests and the patented center-channel means a less bulky fit while enhancing leak protection. Since we use 60-percent natural materials instead of plastic, our diapers are super soft and cloth-like providing comfort without sacrificing protection.

Leading the Way in Europe
Nature Babycare is a Swedish-based company founded by a pioneering mum 14 years ago who thought the world deserved a better diaper! Marlene Sandberg was appalled to learn that babies will produce half a ton of diapers every year. Half a ton! So she sought to create a range of award-winning diapers and baby products which are effective and price competitive --making Nature Babycare products good for both babies and the environment. We are the trusted source for baby products among consumers and the green community. Nature Babycare is leading the industry in Europe by providing mum's with a high-performance diaper that is better for their babies and the environment.

Why We're Award-Winning
Our diapers and pull-on pants are over 60-percent biodegradable in contrast to major brands which are often composed of up to 80-percent oil-based products which do not decompose easily. Conventional diapers can take hundreds of years to decompose, but because of the high content of bio-degradable material, ours break down in a fraction of that time, meaning there's less need for landfill or polluting incineration. We keep oil-based plastics away from babies delicate skin and use natural, breathable corn-based materials instead. Our patented center-channel reduces the need for bulky absorbent material while enhancing leak protection. Nature Babycare Diapers are 100-percent chlorine-free, protecting the environment by not producing harmful dioxin pollution.

All of this combined minimizes diaper rash and other irritations so that your baby is healthy and happy! With features such as stretchy tabs and leg gatherings, a soft cloth-like feel, and non-bulky absorbent pulp, we've created an award-winning diaper that performs ahead of the rest. Our founding principle was to give mum's a high performance diaper that is better for their baby and better for the environment. We strive to use renewable materials whenever possible in all of our product lines. Nature Babycare Diapers offer the convenience of disposables with the best attributes.

What Makes Us Unique
Other diapers can claim to be green but still use massive amounts of oil-based plastics. As a mum, our founder knew there had to be a better way to make diapers. That's why we've spent many years perfecting our diapers by eliminating as much non-biodegradable materials as possible while maintaining performance and comfort. We also use an absorbent pulp that is sustainably harvested out of Scandinavian forests. Our diapers are completely unbleached, contain no latex, fragrance, or TBT (tributyltin), and are hypo-allergenic.

As with any diaper, for maximum performance, when your baby reaches the upper limits of the weight class, we recommend that you switch to the next larger size.

Great product based on natural ingredients (corn instead of SAP), still very absorbent. No smell, great texture, soft against babies skin, biodegradable - previous reviews said it all. The one thing you need to watch for is sizing - the diapers are really made/marked with European sizes which do not match American ones (and they are not made specifically for the US so we are getting the same thing as in Europe). The baby weight noted on American packaging is wrong and results in diapers being too small for the weight noted. American sizes start at N for Newborn, then 1, 2, 3 while European ones start at 1 for a newborn baby (you will notice these diapers start at size 1).Most of the time European size needs to be one larger than American for a proper fit. Here are the details from UK site for Nature babycare, I believe these should be used when ordering these diapers:

Size 1: 4-11 lbs
Size 2: 6-13 lbs
Size 3: 9-20 lbs
Size 4: 15-40 lbs
Size 4+: 20-44 lbs
Size 5: 24-60 lbs

This means that a 15lb baby would wear size 2 in American size (such as huggies, pampers, 7th generation etc), but needs size 3 in these, otherwise they will be too small with various issues such as leaking and blowouts. Once I figured this out, it became a breeze, but I thought it was important to note since Amazon sells them in large packages.

2.0 out of 5 stars Once mighty diaper now disappointing after redesign March 25, 2012
Unit Count:108|Size Name:4
WARNING: This review contains an extremely high level of Diaper Dork Dad (DDD) factor.

We have been big fans of Nature Babycare diapers since our daughter was born 10 months ago. After my successful campaign of convincing my wife that first-time parenthood would be stressful enough without having to deal with disposable diapers, we were very happy to find this compostable alternative.

In her early months, we also did experiment with several other "regular" brands of diapers, and were pleasantly surprised that Nature Babycare diapers seemed to fit and perform better. This allowed us the smug satisfaction of knowing that we were being good for the earth while at the same time keeping poo off of our daughter's clothes.

Recently the diapers have appeared to undergo a small redesign. First of all, although they're Swedish company, they diapers used to be made in Israel. They are now made in Turkey. I couldn't care less where they're made as long as they actually worked, and now they simply don't work as well.

We've had two major issues with the Turkish-made diapers. First, in our first pack of 27 diapers there were 3 defective ones that were missing adhesive tabs. For those of you keeping score at home, that's an 11% defective rate. Some friends of ours experienced similar problems, and judging by the reviews here it would seem that there have been major quality control issues in this area lately. Luckily we discovered all of these defective diapers while at home where we had a steady backup supply. Had this happened to me while out and about with the limited supply in our diaper bag then my daughter wouldn't have been the only one crapping her pants.

Hopefully those quality control issues can be addressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most AMAZING Diapers, plus Updates! January 29, 2010
By Wendy

Ok... so i had previously reviewed before they finished the diaper upgrade and changed the packaging to fewer diapers. What a rollercoaster! Long story short, we had the faulty diapers which were generously replaced by NATY CS and any future diapers were supposedly the upgrades but really weren't, nor were they anywhere as good as the old-old ones. Finally, we received the newest ones with the little clouds and fewer diapers in the package [size 5's]. Wow... these really are "comfort fit"!! Amazing.. i even think i could possibly go down a size if i really wanted.
Things you should know if looking to switch: Do not be surprised if the outer cover sheet becomes damp feeling if left for too long with a oversaturated diaper. This originally surprised when i first started using the diapers. And it is REALLY hard to oversaturate these diapers. I'm talking 12 hours overnight with a BIG sippy cup before bed!
The reason i gave 4 stars: PRICE!! The only excuse i could use for finally "going green" and switching from Cruisers was that they were pretty much the same price give or take a few pennies. But now.. $$. We have to pay for the upgrades. However, there is an upside....i honestly admit that we do use less of these new diapers. Boy, do they pack in the pee-pee!! I swear one morning we had a diaper that weighed more than our son did at birth!! These diapers absorb more liquid than any of those big brand fancy premium diapers! Or at least in my humble opinion. I think NATY has got a winner with these final new upgrades.. hopefully they have settled on this design and leave well enough alone!
Final thought: If you are interested and looking to be environmentally responsible in the disposable diaper department, spend the extra pennies and look no further than Nature Babycare Diapers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fits too small!! January 3, 2011
Unit Count:144|Size Name:2
I was so excited to find a disposable diaper that was chlorine-free and made from biodegradable materials! And at a price comparable to Huggies Naturals. But I was quickly disappointed in the fit. The closure tabs have absolutely NO stretch in them at all. I started with Size 1 when my daughter was about 10 - 11 pounds. The closure tabs left marks on her hips. She's now about 13lbs, and I just bought the size 2, which lists 12 - 18lbs. They are no better. Very tight around the hips and leave red marks. I can only find these online, and they come in 4 packs. It is a hassle to exchange them through the mail. The most recent ones I got on an auction website, which makes it even harder. So, I end up with over 100 diapers that don't fit. I would most definitely keep buying these diapers if they could improve the elasticity in the closure tabs. They may fit a very skinny baby just fine, but if your baby has any pudge around the middle, they will be too small. I suggest buying a size up.
