About the Author

John Norris Wood ran the Natural History Illustration course at the Royal College of Art in London for many years. He is widely and rightly regarded not only as a very fine illustrator, but also as an artist. (He has exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy, the Natural History Museum, the V&A and the Society of Wildlife Artists). Maggie Silver studied natural history illustration with John Norris Wood. After graduating from the Royal College of Art, she worked for London Zoo, Kew Gardens and on magazines and books. She lives with her husband in Richmond Park, near London.

My 5 year old loves I Spy and Search books. This one is great - tons of things to find, some easy and some very difficult. He loves to go back to it. One of his favorite books for over a year now.

This book was a birthday present for a child and it was a huge hit. Of course, I had to preview the book and I almost kept it for myself. The children (and adults) love to find the creatures and the educational text is wonderful.
