5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Dietary Supplement for a Number of Reasons, July 19, 2007
More and more studies indicate that a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids promotes a variety of health benefits: cholesterol management, cardiovascular maintenance, and possibly even improved brain function. My doctor debunked a number of popular dietary supplements (e.g. flaxseed, soy) but unequivocably supported the addition of a fish oil supplement to my diet. Everyone's condition is different, so obviously consult with your physician before undertaking any change in your fitness routine.

Nature Made makes a very good supplement. They use only wild ocean fish so the concentration of omega-3 is much higher than in grain-fed farm-raised fish. My doctor also indicated that this was an important distinction. The capsules are large, but easy enough to take with a little water. I don't even get the "fish burps" that many others have complained about (but in case you do, they also make a slow-release capsule that is intended to further guard against that).

Finally, for those concerned about levels of mercury or other pollutants in the fish products that they consume, Nature Made is certified by the independent USP labs. [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Depression???, November 29, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Saw Dr Oz on Oprah. He suggested Omega 3 for postpartum depression. I began using for general depression. After one month of Omega 3, I have stopped taking daily anxiety med and reduced antidepressant to halfdose. I have lifelong history of depression and 10 years of therapy. Maybe I have just improved myself. Maybe Omega 3 has helped. CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price and quantity, February 13, 2007
PROS: Big bottle, Amazon A+++ shipping
CONS: Contents smell (duh!), the softgels are a bit big

Overall I'm really satisfied! 5 stars.
However, check your local drugstore, they might be cheaper. Some of the Nature Made Supplements were cheaper at Rite Aid than Amazon.
