From Manufacturer:

Nature Made Prenatal plus DHA Liquid SoftGel is ideal for expecting and nursing moms who are looking for a prenatal supplement that includes DHA and requires only 1 dose per day.

Supplementing with a prenatal multi-vitamin during your pregnancy is important to help support a healthy pregnancy and the baby’s development. Key nutrients such as DHA, Folic Acid, and Iron are essential nutrients in your prenatal supplement. DHA plays a crucial role in fetal brain and eye development because DHA is directly transferred from the mother to the fetus during these developmental stages. Folic acid may reduce a woman’s risk of having a child with a brain or spinal cord birth defect and the body’s need for iron nearly doubles during pregnancy. Nature Made Prenatal plus DHA Liquid SoftGel combines all of the key nutrients from a prenatal multivitamin with 200 mg DHA into ONE SINGLE SOFTGEL. Nature Made Prenatal plus DHA Liquid SoftGel is ideal for expecting and nursing moms who are looking for a prenatal supplement that includes DHA and requires only 1 dose per day. Prenatal Multi+DHA contains no synthetic dyes.

  • ONE per day dosage
  • May help support fetal brain and eye development

I really liked these pills, as they seemed to be helping, and they have everything I need…BUT my stomach was upset every single time I took them. I tried a couple other brands and ended up with Organix Naturals. Prenatal One Once Daily Multivitamin for Pre and Post Pregnancy. No stomach issues at all, and I only have to take one small tablet a day.

Yes, if you haven't notice I am not a female however I take these things very seriously and we actually purchased this product at our doctor's recommendation. For the most part ever prenatal vitamin is slightly different but our doctor was only concerned about a couple major ingredients which every vitamin satisfied. The reason why this one stood out is that it is a soft gel and only one pill to get both the vitamins and the fish oil/ Dha which makes it easier/ less of a hassle. The doctor mentioned taking too many pills at once reduces the absorption so this was a good way to not have to worry about that. Also having a 150 pill bottle is almost enough for 5 months (give or take a few days) so two will be enough for the entire pregnancy but Nature Made makes smaller bottles I thought this was pretty convenient.
It is hard to be convincing because picking the right multivitamin for you or your spouse is really up to you and the doctor. Sure there are tons of opinions online and even your doctor will have their opinion but in the end it is how well the body holds up. My wife did have a short period where her nails thinned so we has to increase calcium intake a little but other then that there has not been any noticeable deficiency other then iron which is common. If you are reading this review I will assume congratulations are in order and we have tried two other brands of vitamins and will say my wife is impartial to which is better. I hope this helps you as if this is your first child like me, this whole thing is a new experience. Best of luck everyone.

They have a fishy smell--not good when you are pregnant. I had to end up taking them at night before bed, otherwise I'd throw up immediately afterwards. Other than that, they seemed to be great, as far as I can tell. I'm still using them now that I'm breastfeeding. I have a healthy happy baby, and I have strong nails :)

Best prenatal in my opinion. My doctor did recommend these to me since they have the DHA all in one pill. They are giant, but surprisingly easy to swallow. I have never had any problems with the fish oil. I have never smelled it or burped it up. I love getting a large bottle at a great price on Amazon.

As you know, I don't take pre natal vitamins, but my wife does :) and she started to take them and complained of burping fish taste (gross) and fish smell. She started taking them at night! Take them at night and you will not have the fishy stuff!

I used these through my first pregnancy and bought them again when we talked about having another. They're good as these things go and means you only have to take one pill instead of the separate DHA.

It's huge and sometimes it tastes like fish, but anything for the baby. I keep my bottle in the fridge, because it when it got hot and humid, the capsules started to get fish oil on my hands. The refrigeration helped. It washes off fine, but it's annoying to have to wash my hands after taking my vitamins.
I've been taking a prenatal for 5 years now, because that's how long we've been trying to get and stay pregnant. This is the one I'm going to stay with. I like that the DHA is in there. I also like the capsule vs. tablet, because at this size, they get tough to swallow and capsules seem more slippery, so easier to get down. I've never had any nausea/stomach upset with them, but I do almost always eat breakfast first.
In winter in the northern US, I did still test as deficient in vitamin D, even though this is 100% DV. I've added the Nature Made 2000 IU (500% DV) Vitamin D, and now all my levels are good. I recommend not just trusting that if you take these you'll get enough of everything you and the baby need.
Also, so much less expensive here than at the store.
I can't see the photos of the back of the bottle anymore, so I've added them, the bottle has an expiration of Dec. 2016 and was purchased April 2015.

I really like these vitamins. I bought them because I hate taking traditional vitamins because of the after taste. These are gel coated so they are easier to swallow and do not have that gross vitamin taste right after you swallow the pill. While they are not as strong as prescription prenatals, my doctor said they had the right levels of each type of vitamin. I took them through my pregnancy and am still taking them while breastfeeding rather than a post natal vitamin.
