The Jasper Tramway travels into the fantastic mountain world of the Rockies and the grandiose panorama from the summit of Mount Whistler gives an awesome first impression of this majestic mountain region. Whistler Road winds through fields of stones whose barren wastes are like those of a strange planet and the route opens up into a landscape which existed when the earth was in its infancy. Deep into the heart of this magical world the journey leads to the Icefield Parkway past huge forests with tracks leading nowhere, of which only the indigenous Indians and the woodland animals are familiar with the terrain. Experienced mountain guides explain this wonder world of nature. Lake Louise is probably the most famous of Canada's mountain lakes and is located at the foot of the 3,464 meter tall Mount Victoria.
