5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Parrot Funny Video!, November 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Nature: Parrots...Look Who's Talking [VHS] (VHS Tape)
"Parrots...Look Who's Talking" is so funny. I once saw it on PBS and wished that I could get it. Now, available here at Amazon.com and pet stores nationwide, this video will surley entertain you for years to come. All bird lovers will love this video. From Parakeets, African Greys, colorful variety of many Amazons, to the beautiful variety of Macaws, they are displayed in homes and in their natural environments and habitats. All behavior types is shown from loving, to birds pulling pranks on their owners. You can enjoy parrots singing and watch them perform amazing tricks. Like other reviewers, I must agree that there is one sad scene. This scene refers to a particular type of parrot species that was invading farmers' fields and some farmers took cruel action. An additional scene is where birds that were taken from bad places to a good place. These birds though all now live in a good environment. Not much time is spent on the disturbing issues, as 90% of the video made me laugh. My favorite scene is where an African Grey Parrot says "Look What You've Done" that he learned from his owner. Bird lovers are guaranteed to love this video. This video is more entertaining and informative on birds in their environment and does not show an owner how to teach your bird tricks, but the humor and appreciation in this amazing Parrot video is worth it all! If you own a parrot or other bird that is responsive to sounds, you will find that playing this tape where they can hear it will bring out a funny response in your bird! Kaytee.com, a non-profit organization I must add, is a very good bird site to visit. Birds you see on that site, you will see in the video! Now fly to the checkout button and laugh together with your bird and family in a few days when it arrives in your mail!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars entertaining and educational, April 14, 2000
This review is from: Nature: Parrots...Look Who's Talking [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a wonderful video, and should be shown in the schools, to give students an understanding of the capabilities of these marvelous bird, and appreciate nature. No the parrots do not just mimic what they hear but display a comprehension far beyond anything you could imagine. It is fun and a joy to watch their antics. I wound up owning an Africa Grey, as a direct result of this video, and yes he is a delight to the whole family. If you want to add a little humour to your day watch this video, it is a sure cure for for a bad mood.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fascinating Look at Feathered Friends, January 12, 2001

I loved this video. It not only shows the amazing abilites of pet birds, but shares information on parrots in the wild. A few words of caution- the video does show a wild parrot being shot by a farmer, and it also shows a woman hitting her pet. The video also has a scene where pet birds are shown in a shelter for unwanted animals, referring to "disposable pet syndrome"- a very sad part of this otherwise wonderful video. I feel the majority of this video is heart-warming and fun, and shows the viewer the true wonder of these chatty, playful bundles of feathers
