I ordered two of these, as I wanted to switch away from my old black hooks. They are a bit larger than they appear in the picture (probably about a foot from top to bottom), which isn't a huge issue.

One hook went up with no problems and I was able to hang the hummingbird feeder on this. No complaints there.

The other? I spent 20 minutes running downstairs and outside to retrieve the hook from my shrubs, bring it back upstairs, and rehang it, only to have it fall again. You may wonder what I was hanging on it that was making it fall. Was it a bowling ball? Perhaps a palette of bricks? A 2 ton weight? A grand piano? No, it was a hummingbird swing weighing all of 1.25 oz. Seriously. You can see it in my picture.

I finally washed it off really well and tried resticking it, and it's held for about an hour now, but I can see that the suction isn't great and it's probably going to fall off again soon. Which means another trip outside for retrieval. Hopefully it doesn't go when a poor unsuspecting hummingbird is relaxing on it.

I was skeptical about this hook when I first bought it...but knew it would work as my local Audubon location uses them, one hummingbird feeder at each window all around a wrap around deck. Best results: Soak the whole hanger in warm soapy water prior for 5-10 minutes before hanging so the suction cups become pliable. We have used this hook for our hummingbird feeders (the Fancy Hummzinger style by Aspect) for years. They are only plastic, so they last about 2 years through all seasons then we throw out and get new because they become yellowed or brittle. Never had a problem otherwise. As they are not permanent, you do have to occasionally push suction cups back onto window after a few high heat days, but beats drilling holes into the house for hooks that become rusty and need painted.

I bought this to hang by No-No finch feeder. It works great. My wild bird seed dealer advised me to wet the suction cups with vegetable oil to keep the suction cups adhering to the window. I've had my first hanger up for two months with no problem. I like that it is clear and non-distracting.
