A beautiful composition, though I think a few chords were lost in translation. The lyrics and melody (apparently based upon a Yiddish melody) seem even more haunting as seen on what appears to be the first edition of the publication of the sheet music.I like James Brown's version the best! (Sorry, Nat). |
