This book provides a wide variety of information on most aspects of wildlife and nature photography. Along with an overview of this specialized field are chapters on photographic equipment and materials, lighting, and other technical concerns. The text is further broken down into chapters on photographing birds, insects, and other wildlife, as well as basic landscape photography, including plants and flowers found in gardens. Written in a conversational tone, this work also deals with recommended locales for photographers, self-assignments, interviews with accomplished wildlife photographers, resources, and a particularly important section on the photographer and the environment. The result is an abundance of practical information useful for both professional and amateur photographers, and the price is very reasonable, even for a paperback. Recommended for all collections, especially in public libraries.

Excellent organization and approach to this subject. Has minimal illustrations, but makes up for that by looking at the ideas behind photography and travel

As I was reading this book, it seemed as though the person that wrote it was from another country. That may very well be the case, and I have no problems with that. However, if someone is going to sell a book for Americans to read then it needs to be edited by someone who knows the language.
