ancient wisdom,modern sage,

This review is from: Nature Word (Paperback)
In Nature Word the purpose of human life is given an explanation, but a vast impenetrable mystery remains, because the ultimate source behind the purpose is beyond space and time. Drawing from sources of ancient Egyptian sacred wisdom, gnostic Christianity, and the hermetic philosophy of medieval alchemists,Nature Word appears to be a continuation and expansion of these teachings. Written from the standpoint of a sage sharing acquired wisdom, the book delves into such topics as the incarnation of spirit into matter, the process of reincarnation, the reason for suffering, and the true meaning of evolution. Schwaller de Lubicz leaves a forceful impression of a man completely persuaded of the veracity of his vision. Nature Word exhibits some similarity to the ancient Tao teh Ching in its evocation of the indescribable Unity which is the source of all things. But Nature Word,to me at least, seems more relevant because of its contemporary mode of expression and its recognition of modern aspects of science. It is an exhortation to seek inner, spiritual knowledge in favor of the materialistic, rational knowledge which controls the modern consciousness. It is not a popularization of hermetic philosophy, but a challenge to expand your consciousness by observing the relationship and ultimate unity of all things. Whether or not the reader acquires the same opinions of the subject matter as the author(and I am not advocating that he should),he will be challenged to consider an intelligently presented alternative to commonly accepted beliefs about the universe. Scholarly and mystical, there is much here to ponder.
