After suffering from seasonal affective disorder for many years I purchased this natural light source on the advice of my doctor. I use it every morning for half an hour. What a huge difference in my mood! I feel more alert, happier, more optimistic. I absolutely love it and recommend it for anyone with SAD.

I received my Apollo Sun Touch Light and Ion Therapy unit about a month ago and have been using it every morning. It seems to be a high quality product. I have had no problems of any kind with it. The bright light therapy does seem to be helping with my sleep cycle and my mood. I am very satisfied with this product.

I purchased this for my wife. She prefers this full spectrum light box over the GoLite Blue Light unit, although the Sun Touch is substantially larger than the GoLite. This product is relatively lightweight for its size, easy to handle, and durable. I would recommend it for depression treatments.

I just received my light box. I had been anxiously waiting for it since it had gotten such great reviews. I unpacked it and it does not have an US style power plug. I called Philips Respironics and after waiting for quite a while the representative curtly said that that was a discontinued product and they could do nothing about it. I guess I will have to return it to amazon. What a disappointment.

I bought this light as an experiment to see if it would help get me through the dark winter months of Michigan. I always seem to dread the winter months, while I enjoy the summer time. I figured for the price it was worth the risk.

I can say so far, I think it has been a help. I use it each morning while I ride my exercise bike, and read a book. I like the bright light for reading, and it is small enough to sit on a table near to my bike. It makes multitasking a breeze. Some of the other units I saw were either very large and expensive, or so small they looked like toys. This unit is the right size to work in any number of different rooms. If you want to read at the dinner table, this unit will work nicely.

Does it work? Well, I use it daily for 30 minutes each day. I seem to have a much better attitude this season, and even my wife thinks it has been a help. She says it has made a difference she can see.

What more can I say. It seems to work, it is a great reading light, and your spouse may even see an improvement in your mood. A pretty good deal for a single product.

I have this attached to a power timer such that it comes on 30 minutes before my alarm clock. I then do my morning routine.

You know that feeling when you wake up in bed to the sun streaming in your window? How that can make your whole day? Well that's what waking up to this light is. It didn't have the same effect on me when I tried keeping it on my desk at work. For some reason, the benefit for me REALLY kicked in when I woke up to it. Seattle mornings are pretty yucky :)

Anyway, even just a couple of days of a brighter mood made this an extremely worthwhile purchase. My advice is to wake up to it and be around it in the morning(even if that means less than an hour of exposure) rather than focusing on the quantity of hours. Or at least, try the wakeup approach in addition to the "on my desk at work" approach before settling on one.

Anyway ... in conclusion, it's a great way to wake up and definitely has the potential to brighten your mood, which can make you more productive, etc. I know it's not a placebo effect, because it didn't work for me when it was just on my desk.

This is a great light. It is small and lightweight, so I pick it up off the floor and put it on breakfast table mornings (it has a nice concave opening in back which acts as handle.) I basically set it next to the morning paper and eat breakfast next to it, its compact enough to sit on our smallish table, and let the others eat too.

It had surprising heft to it, not heavy, just seems to be well built, not flimsy.

I would have given it five stars, but I do not need/use the ionizer feature, the timer is audible (tick tick tick...) though not really loud. I'll probably open it up and connect the light to the ion switch, so I can turn it on/off without having the timer involved (and thus disconnect the ionizer completely.)

I received this product very quickly. The apollo sun touch light is a great product. I recommend it to anyone who may suffer from Season Affective Disorder. This is the cheapest price I found anywhere to purchase this product. So stop here and don't look any further to purchase this particular item!

This light box does 10,000 lux at 2 inches and is nowhere near bright enough to have an impact on SAD. It is not much brighter than bright indoor lighting. It did not work for me at all. Its blue frequency emphasis may help with sleep disorders and regulating the circadian rhythm but is not bright enough to do what sunlight does for the human brain. Get Lighten Up Plus, Ultralux 2 by Bluemax or Northern Lights light box. These are much brighter and much closer to sunlight.

This light box was well worth every penny. It has helped me with the gray Indiana days. I would recommend it to anyone who feels down and lacking in energy during the short winter days. I can not say that it has made me feel like a teenager but it does help with my motivation and drive.
