I don't know if everyone will be effected by this light the way that I am, but it really works for me. I live far up north where we lose daylight completely in the winter. The alarm light wakes me up. And then I set it in the kitchen and let it shine on my face while I make coffee and such. It absolutely sets my body clock. Without it I get depressed. And its a well made product, it works well.

Used it for two weeks and am seeing good results. It doesn't allow the user to set the time for 20 minutes instead of the default of 30 minutes. Also, the price went up $20 in 2 weeks.

I bought this for my son's 22nd birthday. He has struggled for the past couple years with sleep-related problems. He can't fall asleep, then can't wake up in the mornings, he's gained weight, and has no energy. Most mornings he would just turn off his alarm clock and go back to bed without ever waking up. Also if he did get up, he would then go back to bed again because he "just had to get more sleep," taking half days off from his job.

He set this for a simulated sunrise, with the lights coming on 1/2 hour before his alarm goes off. He gets up to shut the alarm off, and is able to stay up! I've never seen him getting out of bed before 8:00 AM on his work days before, let alone being on his way to work before 8:00! I think I'll order another one for my almost 18-year old's upcoming birthday! We get so many cloudy days in the winter here in Ohio, this light therapy can't hurt! I could probably benefit from this as well because I've noticed a drop in my own energy levels!
